Lady Gaga's Haus Labs launches in Singapore
The wait is over for make-up-loving Little Monsters. Just in time for her National Stadium concerts, which start on May 18, American pop star Lady Gaga has launched her beauty brand Haus Labs at Sephora Singapore.
Following a failed debut in 2019 and subsequent relaunch in 2022, Haus Labs shot to fame for its Triclone Skin Tech Foundation ($80 for 30ml). The weightless, medium-coverage foundation is available in 51 shades and is designed to look like second skin.

The smash hit led to the complementary Triclone Skin Tech Concealer ($50 for 7ml), made with niacinamide and hyaluronic acid to brighten and de-puff tired under-eyes.
Haus Labs has since become popular for its skincare-infused formulas and daring colour, with Lady Gaga known to wear her brand on red carpets.
The long-awaited Singapore launch includes the full assortment of 125 products – such as the Color Fuse Blush Powder ($50) and PhD Hybrid Lip Glaze ($42), said to be part oil, part gloss, part balm and part plumper.
There are also make-up brushes ($45) and a soon-to-be released Bio-Blurring Talc-Free Loose Setting Powder that promises a soft-focus, Applause-worthy finish.

It has been a year since Jungsaemmool put down roots here.
In April 2024, the namesake South Korean beauty brand by celebrity make-up artist and K-beauty pioneer Jung Saem-mool opened its global flagship store in a heritage bungalow at 27 Scotts Road.
To mark the occasion, Jungsaemmool invited local artist duo Ripple Root to create and showcase artworks in the store. Titled The Sweetness Of Tangerines, the exhibition is an ode not to the popular Netflix K-drama When Life Gives You Tangerines (2025), but to the shared symbolism of tangerines as oranges for auspiciousness in Asian culture.
Till June 1, visitors can check out the vibrant pieces capturing Singapore's playful spirit and tropical hues at the store's M Space gallery. The artworks are available for purchase (prices upon request).
Beauty lovers can pick up a special Singapore edition of the brand's best-selling Essential Skin Nuder Cushion ($52) – in a bright tangerine hue with packaging designed by Ripple Root. The set also comes with a Mini Essential Mool Cream, Peach Glitter Lip Topper and two Cushion Puffs.
Any purchase of the limited-edition cushion at the flagship store gets you an exclusive Anniversary Keychain that you can personalise with initial letter charms, while stocks last.
Info: Till June 1, 10am to 7pm (Mondays to Saturdays) at the Jungsaemmool Flagship Singapore, 27 Scotts Road

Singer Madonna carries handbag from viral Singapore fashion brand Aupen's first couture line

Madonna has joined the ranks of international pop stars and actresses who have decked themselves out in an Aupen handbag. The 66-year-old American singer took to her Instagram Story on June 13 to brandish her couture arm candy from the viral fashion brand founded by Singaporean Nicholas Tan, alongside the text 'Today is in the bag'. She was reportedly in New York and wore a blue polka dot blouse and denim jeans, complete with Aupen's one-of-a-kind Haute Maroquinerie bag on her right arm. This first creation of the label 's p rivate couture programme was conceived in partnership with French luxury conglomerate LVMH's artisanal arm Metiers d'Art. Aupen said in a press statement: 'Composed through a fragmented, asymmetric technique, the piece embraces imperfection, rupture and reinvention – echoi ng Madonna's legacy of transformation and Aupen' s d esign philosophy rooted in tension and individuality. 'With its Haute Maroquinerie programme in the works, Aupen is shaping a new frontier in bespoke leathercraft. This programme is invitation-only. It will invite clients into a deeply personal, couture-level design process – one that reimagines the handbag as a sculptural, intimate object. In close dialogue with Aupen's design team, clients will explore rare materials, shapes and colours that push beyond conventional customisation.' Aupen was founded in Singapore in November 2022. While maintaining its local roots, the bags are designed in Paris. They are available exclusively on and new styles are occasionally previewed on Instagram (@aupenofficial). The official social media account boasts pictures of a slew of celebrities wearing Aupen handbags, including British Florence Pugh, American actress Jenna Ortega and Indian actress Priyanka Chopra. Th e superstar w ho catapulted the brand into the limelight is American singer Taylor Swift. She was spotted holding Aupen's Nirvana Mini Fearless bag in Noir during her night out with her boyfriend, American professional footballer Travis Kelce, in New York City in October 2023. Trump to attend 'Les Miserables' at revamped Kennedy Center, where sales have fallen

FILE PHOTO: U.S. President Donald Trump gestures while he poses for a picture at the presidential box at the Kennedy Center, in Washington, D.C., U.S., March 17, 2025. REUTERS/Carlos Barria WASHINGTON - Months after orchestrating a conservative takeover of the Kennedy Center's leadership, President Donald Trump will attend "Les Miserables" on Wednesday, his first show at the performing arts facility that has become a symbol of U.S. cultural and political divides. Trump did not attend events at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts during his first term, but has taken a keen interest in it during his second. Deriding it on social media for putting on "Drag Shows specifically targeting our youth," he pushed out its former chairman, fired its longtime president and pledged to overhaul an institution he described as being in tremendous disrepair. The fallout has been swift. The musical "Hamilton" canceled plans to appear there, staff left and sales of subscriptions and individual tickets for Kennedy Center shows have dropped, according to two people briefed on the data. Overall subscription revenue was down 36% to $2.8 million as of early June for next season, which begins in the autumn, according to one source. Theater subscriptions, normally a major revenue driver for the center, were down 82%. A Kennedy Center spokeswoman declined to comment about the facility's sales. The center depends on revenue from tickets and subscriptions as well as donations to operate. "President Trump cares deeply about American arts and culture, which is why he is revitalizing historic institutions like the Kennedy Center to their former greatness," White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly said in a statement. Trump's appearance at "Les Miserables", a show about citizens rising up against their government, comes just days after he sent U.S. Marines and the National Guard to quell protests against his administration's immigration raids in Los Angeles. Trump will sit in the presidential box overlooking center stage, but he is not guaranteed a friendly reception in the 2,300-seat theater. When Vice President JD Vance attended a Kennedy Center show with his wife earlier this year, the crowd booed. Supportive donors will be present, but tickets for the musical were available for purchase by the public as well, along with regular subscribers. The night is sold out. Trump's appearance is meant to juice fundraising. Donors who pay $100,000 to $2 million get to attend a reception before the show, receive a photo with the president and be seated in good locations in the theater. Vance is expected to attend as well. The Kennedy Center is turning the event into one on par with its signature shows, including the Kennedy Center Honors, featuring a red carpet for high-profile guests with reporters and photographers in place. Under the leadership of Ric Grenell, a close Trump ally and former ambassador to Germany, the Kennedy Center has sought to add more conservative-leaning programming, including a show that Grenell has described as a celebration of the birth of Christ. Meanwhile, while Trump zeroed in on drag shows when he said the Kennedy Center had lost its way, multiple upcoming musicals include characters dressed in drag, such as "Mrs. Doubtfire" and "Chicago." Other musicals have pulled out, according to a former Kennedy Center official. REUTERS Join ST's Telegram channel and get the latest breaking news delivered to you.
