Clemson makes another huge recruiting splash landing 4-star OL Leo Delaney

Clemson makes another huge recruiting splash landing 4-star OL Leo Delaney Clemson continues to build one of the nation's top offensive line classes for 2026, this time landing a major commitment from four-star lineman Leo Delaney. According to multiple sources, Delaney has pledged to the Tigers over offers from Michigan and Penn State. The 6-foot-6, 290-pound standout from Providence Day School in Charlotte had originally planned to commit on July 11 but decided to announce early after his recent official visit to Clemson. Delaney's commitment marks the fifth offensive lineman to join the Tigers in this cycle, following fellow four-stars Braden Wilmes, Adam Guthrie, Grant Wise, and Chance Barclay. Clemson's revamped approach to recruiting in the trenches has paid off in a big way, and much of that credit goes to offensive line coach Matt Luke. Since his arrival, Luke has proven to be one of the most impactful hires Clemson could have made, quickly turning the offensive line into a true recruiting strength. Delaney is ranked No. 62 nationally, the No. 5 interior lineman, and the No. 5 player in North Carolina by 247Sports. With 16 total commits, Clemson's 2026 class now ranks among the top five in the nation — and their momentum up front continues to build. Nation's No.1 LB Reported to Visit Another College Powerhouse as Recruiting Battle Intensifies

Nation's No.1 LB Reported to Visit Another College Powerhouse as Recruiting Battle Intensifies originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Five-star prospect Tyler Atkinson is deciding where he should play college football, and another powerhouse school has added its name to the list. Advertisement Atkinson, a 6-foot-2, 205-pound linebacker for Grayson High School in Lawrenceville, Georgia, broke the record for tackles with 197 as a sophomore before recording 166 tackles, 13 sacks, an interception and a forced fumble as a junior in 2024. He led the school to a 6A state championship last season by defeating Carrollton High School, 38-24. Power-five programs such as Georgia, Clemson, Auburn, Ohio State and Alabama are on Atkinson's radar, with the Bulldogs leading at 30.9 percent, according to his On3 player profile. However, recently, he visited the Dabo Swinney-coached Clemson Tigers and seemed pleased with what he saw from the program. 'The official visit was OFFICIAL,' Atkinson wrote on X Sunday. 'It was the definition of 'feeling like a priority.'' The linebacker has been on the school's campus multiple times since middle school to create a sense of familiarity with how Smart operates his defense. Advertisement As Atkinson's recruitment intensifies, he will visit the Oregon Ducks next, according to On3 reporter Hayes Fawcett. If he commits to the Ducks, he will join a linebacker core already composed of freshman Gavin Nix and sophomore Blake Purchase, who could still be on the roster by the time he joins in fall 2026. A date for Atkinson's visit has yet to be announced. Best cities in NY for hockey fans: Where the game thrives

While the Buffalo Sabres have struggled to make it to the playoffs in over a decade, Buffalo was named one of the best cities for hockey fans in a recently released study by WalletHub. The study compared over 75 U.S. cities across two divisional categories — the National Hockey League and Division 1 Men's NCAA hockey — based on 20-plus key metrics that make up a good hockey city, including average ticket prices, stadium capacity and performance level of each city's teams. "Hockey is one of the most underappreciated sports in America, but its popularity is steadily growing, bringing in record-breaking revenue and attendance," WalletHub analyst Chip Lupo said. "The best cities for hockey provide good opportunities to watch high-performing NHL teams in person, and sometimes NCAA teams as well." Advertisement Here's what to know. Why Buffalo is one of the best hockey cities Buffalo's downtown is a hub for all things hockey as it's centered around the KeyBank Center, LECOM Harborcenter and its outdoor skating availability in the winter. The Queen City is also home to a multitude of hockey teams and rinks scattered throughout the area. WalletHub focused on the Buffalo Sabres and the men's Canisius University Golden Griffins team in their study, but other college-level Buffalo-area teams include the Buffalo State Bengals and University at Buffalo Ice Bulls, both men's and women's. Advertisement According to the study, Buffalo has the second-lowest average ticket price for an NHL game, is tied for 4th lowest when it comes to the minimum season ticket price for NCAA games and has the 3rd highest NHL stadium capacity.
