BOX12 is the latest arrival in what has been an exciting year for DLL members at Club Rhyl. First to launch back in January, was the new Power Strength area, which has been quickly followed by the Lean Up cardio studio, and Studio X HIIT space, all of which have proved a huge hit with members.
Jon Eade, BOX12 co-founder said: We're incredibly excited to partner with DLL in order to bring the first BOX12 In-Club Solution to Wales! Combining the benefits of our technology-led solution – the repurposing of previously under-utilised spaces for maximum impact, the liberation of the operator from the stresses of planning & delivering programming – with Denbighshire Leisure's forward-thinking vision is now bringing members a new, exciting way to train – and on their own schedule.
"This partnership ensures Denbighshire Leisure and BOX12 stand at the forefront of fitness innovation in Wales, and we're delighted to see members engage with the concept!'

Jamie Groves, DLL managing director, said 'We are thrilled with the response to BOX12. Bringing a 'first in Wales' experience to our members is hugely exciting, and is the result of a lot of planning and hard work from our teams. We are always excited to see our members' reactions, and we couldn't be more thrilled with success of BOX12. If anyone hasn't tried it yet, my advice is to give it a go! You won't be disappointed. Club Rhyl is leading the way for fitness and we can't wait for what's to come next, watch this space!'
Next to arrive at Club Rhyl is Assist Fit, a range of power assisted equipment, designed for those looking to improve their muscular strength, balance, flexibility, and cardiovascular fitness, but who require a low-impact workout.

No place for Rhyl as Red Arrows shares full 2025 shows list

The Royal Air Force (RAF)'s aerobatic display team has been a mainstay at Rhyl Air Show, which is typically held on the Saturday and Sunday of the August bank holiday weekend. But the event has not taken place in Rhyl since 2023, with no confirmation yet as to whether it will go ahead this summer. On the Red Arrows' full list of 2025 performances, it says that the aerobatic team will be at the Roskilde Airshow in Denmark on Sunday, August 24 (the bank holiday weekend). This follows its appearance at the Clacton Airshow and the Sidmouth Regatta show in Devon, both on Friday, August 22. Last month, Rhyl Air Show organisers Denbighshire Leisure Ltd said it hoped to share information regarding this year's event soon. The Red Arrows featured at the 2022 and 2023 Rhyl Air Shows, but did not attend the 2019 event – the last prior to the COVID-19 pandemic - as it clashed with a tour of North America. 'Unfortunately, we have been informed that they will be away on an international tour over the summer, and unavailable for UK displays. Read more 'With the programme already subject to scrutiny over recent years, we believe the Red Arrows to be irreplaceable, and that their loss would inevitably lead to criticism of the Air Show. "We have concluded that it would be impossible for Denbighshire Leisure to deliver a show in keeping with the proud tradition of the Rhyl Air Show, which also meets public expectations, but we will come back in 2025 stronger.' As well as the Red Arrows, the 2023 Rhyl Air Show also featured performances from the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, Strikemaster Pair, Calidus Autogyro, and more.
