New Delhi: Bankrupt Pakistan, a terror state that has been struggling with its economy for years now, has threatened India of suspending all bilateral agreements with India, including the critical India-Pakistan Non-Attack Agreement on Nuclear Installations, amidst rising tensions triggered by India's decision to put the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT) in abeyance. Pakistan's provocative move followed a warning from its ambassador to Russia Muhammad Khalid Jamali, who on May 4 stated that Islamabad 'would use nuclear weapons' if India launched military action.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the other hand, sent a strong message in response to what he called Pakistan's 'nuclear blackmail'. In his recent address to the nation, PM Modi declared a hardened stance and said, 'India will not tolerate any nuclear blackmail. We have only kept in abeyance our operations against Pakistan; the future will depend on their behaviour. Operation Sindoor is now India's new policy against terrorism— a new line has been drawn.'
It is important to note that there are nine countries in the world who are nuclear-armed. The countries with nuclear capabilities include Russia, China, France, the United Kingdom, India, Pakistan, Israel, North Korea, and the United States. It is important to note that these weapons can cause mass casualties instantly and, by disrupting agriculture, could potentially threaten billions of lives. Here is the complete list of countries with Nuclear weapons:
Russia: Russia possesses the world's largest nuclear arsenal, with approximately 5,449 warheads.
United States: The US is also a nuclear-armed country with 5,277 warheads. It maintains land, sea, and air-based weapons while modernising its nuclear triad alongside ongoing efforts in nuclear disarmament diplomacy.
China: As of 2025, the country has approximately 600 nuclear warheads and is actively working on expanding and diversifying its missile systems.
France: France has about 290 nuclear warheads, primarily delivered via submarine-launched ballistic missiles and air-based systems.
United Kingdom: The UK possesses around 225 nuclear warheads, primarily deployed on Trident submarines.
India: India has about 180 nuclear warheads, following a strategy of minimum credible deterrence.
Pakistan: Pakistan has an estimated 170 nuclear warheads in 2025, including short-range tactical weapons
Israel: Israel is estimated to have around 90 nuclear warheads
North Korea: North Korea also holds approximately 50 nuclear warheads.

NEW DELHI: Members of the multi-party delegations that travelled to many world capitals to convey India's stand following Operation Sindoor will call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence on Tuesday evening. Official sources said the members will be sharing their feedback with the prime minister on the trips. Former diplomats and ex-MPs were also part of the delegations that visited 33 foreign capitals and the European Union. External affairs minister S Jaishankar has already met the delegations and lauded their efforts on conveying India's strong stand against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism. Four delegations were led by members of the ruling alliance, including two BJP MPs, one JD(U) MP and one from Shiv Sena. EAM Jaishankar interacts with Indian community in Belgium, Luxembourg

Brussels [Belgium], June 10 (ANI): External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar interacted with members of the Indian community in Belgium and Luxembourg, discussing the steady progress of India-Belgium ties and its engagement with the European Union. During the interaction, Jaishankar apprised the community of India's efforts to counter terrorism and promote the country's progress and prosperity. Sharing the pictures of the interaction, Jaishankar wrote, 'Great to interact with members of the Indian community of Belgium and Luxembourg. Discussed with them the steady progress of India-Belgium ties and engagement with the EU. Also apprised them of our efforts at countering terrorism and ensuring the progress & prosperity of India.' Notably, Jaishankar began his visit to Belgium on Monday by meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot. The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation and combating terrorism. He appreciated Belgium's support in combating terrorism, welcomed their solidarity, and emphasised the strong momentum in the India-EU partnership, highlighting the potential for collaboration in clean energy, mobility, and pharmaceuticals. Jaishankar's visit to Brussels comes three months after Princess Astrid of Belgium led a 300-member economic mission to India. The recent visit by Princess Astrid, who met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Jaishankar, discussed key areas such as labor migration, pharmaceuticals, defense, diamonds, space exploration, and green energy. Interestingly, Jaishankar's visit coincides with the detention of fugitive Indian diamantaire Mehul Choksi in a jail in Belgium. Choksi, accused of defrauding Punjab National Bank of Rs 13,850 crore, was arrested in mid-April on India's extradition request. India has an extradition treaty with Belgium, and the government is likely to pursue Choksi's extradition during the EAM's visit. Jaishankar is on an official visit to France, the European Union (EU), and Belgium from June 8 to 14, 2025, the Ministry of External Affairs announced in a press release on Sunday. (ANI)

Guiding Principle: 'India First': Viksit Bharat Ka Amrit Kaal

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted on Monday that under the 11 years of his government India has not just become the fastest-growing major economy but is also a key global voice on pressing issues like climate action and digital innovation. A clear focus on good governance and transformation, Modi said of the last 11 years as his government finished the first year of its third term on Monday. A link shared by him noted that 60 per cent of the current Union ministers are from the SC, ST and OBC categories, a message aimed at burnishing social justice credentials of his government amid attempts by Opposition parties like the Congress to paint it as working against their interests. This is the highest ever representation of these marginalised groups in the Union Council of Ministers, it added. In his post on X, Modi said powered by the blessings and collective participation of 140 crore Indians, India has witnessed rapid transformations across diverse sectors. Guided by the principle of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas', the NDA government has delivered path-breaking changes with speed, scale and sensitivity, he said. From economic growth to social upliftment, the focus has been on people-centric, inclusive and all round progress, he added. The Prime Minister said, "We are proud of our collective success but at the same time, we look ahead with hope, confidence and a renewed resolve to build a Viksit Bharat." He used the hashtag of "11 year of seva" (11 years of service) with the post, while sharing links to the details of changes effected in different sectors. It said Modi has brought the politics of development, 'Vikasvaad' into the mainstream, making it the focal point around which political discourse and policy action now revolves. Since assuming office in 2014, 'India First' has guided his every policy and action, it added. It noted that over 81 crore people are getting free food grains, over 15 crore households have got tap water connections, over four crore houses built for the poor, 12 crore toilets were built, 68 lakh street vendors got loans, 52.5 crores loans given to small entrepreneurs, and 20 crores women were given cash assistance during Covid under different schemes.
