Bachelor Madison Prewett reveals battle with porn and masturbation addiction as she 'tried to live for Jesus'

Daily Mail3 hours ago

Bachelor #24 runner-up Madison Prewett Troutt revealed how she overcame her addictions to porn and masturbation, which 'had been a struggle' as far back as middle school.
'I was about 13 years old. I went over to a friend's house and her parents weren't around and she turned on this show that was extremely inappropriate,' the 29-year-old new mother recalled on her Stay True Podcast on Monday.
'Literally everyone was naked and it was like The Bachelor but, like, way worse and everyone was naked and everyone was trying to like fight for this like one woman's attention and and it was all about like sex and sexual relationships.'
Madi continued: 'My body started feeling things that I had never felt before and I started wondering things that I'd never wondered before and then desiring it and then wanting it and and so I left that time with my friend like genuinely so curious about that and wanting it more.'
Prewett's yearnings prompted her to search the Internet for X-rated content promising 'satisfaction and pleasure' and 'maybe it did for a moment but then as soon as the moment ended I felt so much shame and I was living in secret shame.'

'I questioned my worth and my identity. Every time I gave into sexual sin, I didn't know my purpose,' the Alabama-born brunette explained.
'I was not able to break free until I brought other people into it, until I stopped letting the enemy run my life with living in secrecy and living in isolation.'
Madi continued: 'Thankfully, by the grace of God and by the power of Godly community and people around me, I have been free from porn and masturbation for — I don't even know — 10 years. But that was something that enslaved me and marked me for so long.'
Prewett and her husband of two years, pastor Grant Troutt, welcomed their first child, five-month-old daughter Hosanna Rose Troutt, on January 20.
It's hard to believe it's only been five years since Delta Air Lines pilot Peter Weber dumped his winning fiancée Hannah Ann Sluss for the former foster parent recruiter, who split from him just three days after the ABC dating competition's finale.
The Bachelorette has four winning couples still together, and the odds are much better on Bachelor in Paradise where 10 winning couples remain together.

Madi is next scheduled to speak on July 18 at the Lifepoint Church Youth Conference in Fredericksburg, VA.
On September 23, WaterBrook will publish Prewett's 240-page faith-based book Dare to Be True: Defeat the Lies That Bind You and Live Out the Truth That Frees You.
Madi - who boasts 4.1M social media followers - is also every bit the influencer with paid partnerships for brands like Cupshe, Amazon, Gameday Couture, Sun Home Saunas, and Natural Cycles.

Celebrate the Fourth of July with a plant-based feast that tastes just as good as the REAL thing

Everyone's gearing up for Fourth of July celebrations! Whether you're cooking for your family or you're entertaining a crowd, you can't top Beyond Meat for its delicious and nutritious offerings. Known for its plant-based takes on animal meat, from the famed Beyond Burger to other favorites like Beyond Steak and Beyond Chicken Pieces. Everything is packed with protein and insanely good, with perfect texture and just the right flavor blend to make any dish come to life in an unforgettable way. Did someone say delicious? Beyond Burgers are juicy, delectable, and filling — and they make a great addition to any Fourth of July celebration Even if you're a meat lover, you may just be swayed by the brand's amazing selection of flavorful and healthy options. Everything is incredibly versatile, perfect for stacking up burgers, dressing up salads, or adding some protein to an entree. If you're new to the brand, Beyond Burger is a great introduction. Recently reformulated, it contains a whopping 21 grams of protein per serving and 2 grams of saturated fat per serving. That's significant if you're a meat eater watching what you eat, as the fat content is a massive 75 percent less than standard 80/20 ground beef. It only gets better as you browse the ingredient list, which includes avocado oil — and has absolutely no coconut or canola oil anymore. Don't be afraid to mix things up with Beyond Burger. It's a must for a basic plant-based cheeseburger, of course, but you can also load it with creative topping combinations to keep it interesting. There are so many options to make your 4th festivities memorable, like basil, tomato, and mozzarella for caprese vibes, or spicy pickles, salsa, and hot pepper cheese for fiery flavor. Beyond Steak is just as much a highlight, enriched with 21 grams of protein and only 1 gram of fat. It's a huge fan favorite, too, as it's one of the leading plant-based meat products out there. It tastes like the real deal, but is clean and healthy by comparison. If you're all about the light bites, Beyond Chicken Pieces will fit nicely into your celebrations. The new addition to the Beyond lineup is exactly what you need to get at least 21 grams of protein (with an exceptional 0.5 grams of saturated fat). Toss them into a salad or stir them into a pasta to take your dish in a heartier and even tastier direction. The bottom line? You have to taste Beyond to believe it! It's truly... well, beyond your wildest foodie dreams, and trust us — you will love it from first bite.

Diddy lawyer mocks prosecution over baby oil evidence

Lawyers for Sean 'Diddy' Combs have mocked the prosecution for presenting bottles of baby oil as evidence that he engaged in sex trafficking during their closing arguments at his New York trial. The music mogul's legal team claimed the prosecution 'badly exaggerated' evidence of Combs's swinger lifestyle combined with his recreational drug use in order to confect a racketeering conspiracy charge that could put him behind bars for life. Marc Agnifilo, defending, derided the prosecutors who seized hundreds of bottles of Astroglide lubricant and baby oil from Combs's property, telling the Manhattan court: 'Way to go, fellas.' 'He [Combs] did not do the things he's charged with. He didn't do racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking,' he said as he began a presentation expected to last several hours. Combs, a three-time Grammy winner, is accused of using his fame to create an empire of exploitation, coercing women into abusive sex parties while silencing victims through blackmail and violence, including kidnapping, arson and beatings. Combs has pleaded not guilty on all charges. Cassie Ventura, R&B singer and Combs's ex-girlfriend, was the prosecution's primary witness, and told the court she was forced to take part in 'hundreds' of drug-fuelled orgies with male escorts that could last as long as four days. She also accused him of rape. Mr Agnifilo called Combs's prosecution a 'fake trial' and ridiculed the notion that he engaged in racketeering. 'Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me?' Mr Agnifilo asked. 'Did any witness get on that witness stand and say, 'yes, I was part of a racketeering enterprise – I engaged in racketeering?'' Mr Agnifilo told jurors that those accusations were a figment of the prosecution's imagination. Referring to lawsuits filed by Combs's accusers, he said: 'This isn't about crime. It's about money. This is about money.' Mr Agnifilo noted that Ventura, who was Combs's girlfriend of nearly 11 years – sued him and settled for $20 in November 2023, triggering a federal investigation the following day. 'If you had to pick a winner in this whole thing, it's hard not to pick Cassie,' Mr Agnifilo said. If convicted, Combs could face a mandatory minimum of 15 years in prison and a maximum of life. He did not testify during the trial that is in its seventh week. After Mr Agnifilo completes his closing, assistant US attorney Maurene Comey is expected to deliver a rebuttal summation before the judge reads the law to the jury. Deliberations are not expected to begin until Monday.

Brian Wilson's cause of death revealed days after Beach Boys icon's shock passing aged 82

Beach Boys icon Brian Wilson's cause of death has been revealed publicly two weeks after his passing at 82. Wilson's children announced his death on the singer's official Instagram page on Wednesday June 11 - a year after it emerged that he had been diagnosed with a neurocognitive disorder similar to dementia. Per a death certificate obtained by TMZ, Wilson died from respiratory arrest - which occurs when the heart is still beating, but the lungs stop functioning, making it impossible for the person to get oxygen. Wilson was also suffering from a litany of other health issues at the time of his death, with infections sepsis and cystitis also listed on the certificate. Associated factors include neurodegenerative disorder, obstructive sleep apnea, chronic respiratory failure and chronic kidney disease. The God Only Knows hitmaker shot to fame as the frontman of the Beach Boys, for which he served as the principal songwriter as well as the co-lead vocalist. Wilson formed the Beach Boys in 1961 with his brothers Dennis and Carl Wilson, their cousin Mike Love and their friend Al Jardine. The original name of the band was the Pendletones, and they exploded onto the scene with their 1961 song Surfin', written by Brian Wilson and Mike Love. Over the course of the 1960s the group became one of the most beloved in America, releasing albums like Surfin' Safari, Surfin' U.S.A. and Surfer Girl. Their 1966 hit God Only Knows was branded 'the greatest song ever written' by Beatles legend Paul McCartney. Along with their pioneering musical style, the band also conjured up an intoxicating image of a carefree California lifestyle of sunshine, palm trees and sea air. However Wilson's involvement with the Beach Boys shifted dramatically when he suffered a nervous breakdown in 1964, followed by two more in the next couple of years. He promptly withdrew from touring but retained his backstage control of the band as a writer and producer, masterminding their 1966 magnum opus Pet Sounds and providing lead vocals on many of the tracks. Pet Sounds struggled commercially at first, but ultimately earned a reputation as one of the most acclaimed pop albums ever created. Melinda, his second and final wife, married Wilson in 1995, and he credited her as his 'savior' in his devastated statement on her death last year; the couple are pictured in 1995 Last February, shortly after his wife Melinda's death, Wilson's family filed to obtain a conservatorship of him, announcing his diagnosis with a dementia-like condition. They said he often made 'spontaneous irrelevant or incoherent utterances,' had a 'very short attention span and while unintentionally disruptive, is frequently unable to maintain decorum appropriate to the situation,' in documents obtained by The Blast. Melinda, the family argued, had been attending to Wilson's 'daily living needs' and her absence had left him 'unable to properly provide for his own personal needs for physical health, food, clothing, or shelter.' The last time Wilson was seen in public was April 2024, when he emerged looking frail in a wheelchair to attend a Los Angeles Lakers game. News of his death provoked an outpouring of grief from his fans, including Elton John, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, Mick Fleetwood, Micky Dolenz, the Backstreet Boys, Randy Bachman and John Lennon's sons Julian Lennon and Sean Lennon. Wilson's survivors include his daughters Carnie, 57, and Wendy, 55, whom he had with his first wife Marilyn, as well as the five children he adopted with Melinda, who are called Dakota Rose, Daria Rose, Delanie Rose, Dylan and Dash.
