Man Utd flop Memphis Depay suffers ultimate humiliation as Panenka penalty goes hilariously wrong in Corinthians loss
MEMPHIS DEPAY was left red-faced after his Panenka penalty went horribly wrong in Corinthians' 2-1 defeat.
The Manchester United flop had the perfect chance to hand his side an early lead from the spot, but he fluffed his lines against Mirassol.

Corinthians won the penalty after Igor Coronado's strike hit Joao Victor's arm in the 27th minute.
The referee was sent to check the monitor before awarding the spot kick a few minutes later.
But after all the drama, Depay stepped up and missed the penalty after attempting a Panenka chip.
The former Old Trafford star was left embarrassed after Mirassol goalkeeper Walter extended his body to keep the shot out.
Depay followed it up for the rebound but his header went wide, before angry Mirassol players confronted the 31-year-old.
The home side were clearly annoyed with his outrageous dinked attempt, as Depay's team-mates came over to back him up.
The Netherlands international did make up for it a few minutes later after assisting his side's opener.
Depay's corner was converted by centre-back Caca to send his side 1-0 in first half stoppage time.
But the former Premier League star was hauled off before the hour mark as Mirassol equalised in the 49th minute.
Mirassol then took the lead within minutes of Depay's substitution.
Ex-Man Utd star Memphis Depay sparks mass brawl with cheeky trick as four red cards are handed out in derby clash
Depay joined the Brazilian outfit last September after leaving Atletico Madrid in the summer.
The forward is reportedly paid a staggering £170,000-per-week, which would make him the highest paid player at Corinthians.
Depay struggled to make an impact at Man Utd between 2015 and 2017 after joining from PSV.
He scored seven goals in his 53 appearances, before leaving the Red Devils and rebuilding his career in Lyon.
After four years in France, he made the move to Barcelona and, after two seasons, joined Atletico Madrid in 2023.

England squad has ‘so much talent' despite high-profile absentees
Within the last two weeks Mary Earps and Fran Kirby have retired from international football, while Millie Bright has stepped away saying she is 'unable to give 100 percent mentally or physically'. It has left a significant hole in Sarina Wiegman's squad – the trio have 220 caps between them – a month before the Euros, but Toone insists there are plenty of reasons to remain optimistic about their title defence. 'There is a lot of experience with those three players, ones I am grateful I got to share a pitch with,' Toone told the PA news agency at the official launch of her E7 Academy at former school Fred Longworth High in Tyldesley. 'It is football and people make decisions and as players we have to respect that. I just want Mary to be happy – if that's her decision I'll respect that. 'It is nice to let someone else step into the squad and I know we have their backing 100 percent and I know they want us to do well. 'You have to focus on the squad we have now and there is so much talent and excitement in it, players who have been to major tournaments before and are experienced and know how to win. 'We have bags of talent coming through. You have to look forward to what's ahead and with the squad we have got. I think it is going to be exciting. 'They will go there, have no fear and hopefully they can shine on the big stage. A post shared by Ella Toone (@ellatoone) 'We've got a very different squad to the one we had when we won it, but one which is very exiting and full of talent. It has partnered with 27 schools across Greater Manchester and she has encouraged more to sign up. 'Hopefully girls here can really push on and come through the academy and play in the WSL one day. Crystal Palace chasing £45m-rated Sporting Lisbon defender
Crystal Palace have explored an ambitious deal for Sporting Lisbon's Ousmane Diomande – one of the most highly rated centre-backs in Europe – as they look to build on their FA Cup triumph last season. With Marc Guehi entering the final year of his contract, bids are expected for the Palace captain this summer and the club have been looking at possible targets in the event of needing to bolster Oliver Glasner's back line. Diomande, 21, represents the level of Palace's aspirations for next season as the Ivory Coast international has been watched by scouts of the Premier League's heavyweight teams over the last three seasons in Portugal's top-flight. He was nurtured by Ruben Amorim at Sporting and has inevitably been linked to Manchester United as the Portuguese head coach reshapes his squad. Chelsea have also looked at Sporting's young players and have already moved to sign winger Geovany Quenda. But all clubs across Europe have been aware of Diomande ever since his breakthrough into senior football following his January 2023 move from Danish club Midtjylland, who have a track record of developing players for the big European teams. Diomande has two seasons left on his contract at Estadio Jose Alvalade which could impact his price over the next year, although he would be expected to cost at least £45 million in the current market, given Quenda's deal to go to Chelsea in a year. Amorim started him in Sporting's 4-1 win over Manchester City last season – the manager's last home game for the Lisbon club – and he made 31 appearances in the Primeira Liga across the campaign. There are no guarantees over Guehi leaving Selhurst Park this summer, with official bids yet to be made for the England centre-back. Newcastle United came close to agreeing a fee for him last summer but fell just short, while Tottenham Hotspur have previously shown interest. After coming through the Chelsea academy, the west London club are also keeping an eye on his situation.
