Jeff Probst Just Gave A Masterclass On How To Engage With Someone With A Disability, And Everyone Everywhere Should Be Taking Notes
As a huge fan of Survivor, I had tears in my eyes this season when host Jeff Probst spoke with a contestant about his disability during a challenge on a recent episode. CBS shared the video on TikTok, and the interaction has since gone viral.

The clip begins with Mitch, a member of the Civa tribe and P.E. coach from Waco, Texas, explaining how the last few days had been for his tribe: "...a really good — a really good couple of days because of it."
Mitch is a person who stutters, and he struggled a bit as he needed extra time to finish the rest of his sentence.
"Stuttering is a speech disorder characterized by repetition of sounds, syllables, or words; prolongation of sounds; and interruptions in speech known as blocks. An individual who stutters exactly knows what he or she would like to say but has trouble producing a normal flow of speech," according to the National Institute of Health.
Jeff then paused the conversation. "Mitch," he asked, "I have a question. When you're struggling, do you want help from someone?"
"Or is part of it is to let you finish when you're ready to finish?"
Mitch replied, "The hope is that everyone would just kind of hang in there for me."
"And just give me the opportunity to finish my sentence."
Mitch then continued, "But I'm so thankful you asked that."
"Because honestly, like, people just naturally want to help others."
"And sometimes we don't feel comfortable enough, like, asking that. So thank you for that."

"Thank you for teaching us how to do it," Jeff said.
Even speech pathologists and therapists weighed in on the interaction: "I am a speech pathologist and I absolutely love that Jeff asked the question 🩷 so respectful."
Others found the conversation informative and said it would influence the way they interact with people who stutter. "I admire Jeff for asking this! I admittedly will be one to 'help' so this is a great reminder for me to pause and give space."

"It's just not a show that I follow. And I understand the fan base is massive. So, the fact that they keep inviting more and more back, it clearly means that it's doing well for them. It's just not my wheelhouse. And they don't know how to play the game!" Says Dixon, "I really think that one of the Housewives are going to be a Traitor this year, because we did not get one last year in Season 3. In Season 2, we had Phaedra Parks, one of the best Traitors ever." The Housewives in this cycle are Dorinda Medley (returning from Season 2), Candiace Dillard Bassett, Caroline Stanbury, Lisa Rinna, and Porsha Williams. They both openly wonder if returning contestant Dorinda might be a Traitor this time around, since she was a Faithful last year. "If I was there, I would immediately target her again," laughs Davidson. "Poor Dorinda! Because they're going to think, 'Of course, she's coming back as a Traitor.'"for Churchill Downs When Davidson initially saw the cast list, he felt "meh," until he noticed Olympic figure skaters Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir in the lineup. He explains, "These are two people I didn't expect to be on a reality TV show — not because they don't have the personality, but because it just wasn't on my radar. Tara Lipinski was an Olympic gold medalist, and Johnny Weir is a very eccentric male figure skater, and they are two of the shadiest queens that do the commentary for the Winter Olympics. They're like every bestie pairing you would see in West Hollywood ... and it's going to be hilarious if one of them is actually a Traitor." Survivor star Rob Cesternino being cast on The Traitors is a big "F you" to the long-running CBS reality TV show, Dixon says. "He was in the running for Survivor 50, and I guess at the last moment he didn't get the call. And so The Traitors swoops in two weeks later, and they're like, 'OK, we want you in the castle.'" In other words, Survivor's "loss" is The Traitors' "gain." Other competition gamers about to go for the gold in Scotland include Yamil "Yam Yam" Arocho from Survivor, Natalie Anderson (without her twin sister, Nadiya Anderson) from The Amazing Race and Survivor, and Ian Terry and Tiffany Mitchell from Big Brother. "It's been a long time since we've seen [Ian]," Davidson realizes. "It'll be interesting to see what he's like now at age 34. He was so young when he was on Big Brother a thousand years ago." Tiffany was "the creator of the Cookout" and "America's Favorite Houseguest" on Big Brother, so "people love her," remembers Dixon. "I loved that whole season of Big Brother 23. I think it's the best season they've ever done, so I can't wait to see her. She's got a little villainous side." Dixon wonders if Carolyn Wiger "had any sway" in getting her Survivor 44 buddy, Yam Yam, onto The Traitors, since she was so popular in the castle last year. Just like Rob, Carolyn was in the running for Survivor 50, but she was ultimately cut, possibly because of her time on the rival series. "Jeff Probst is very jealous and protective, and does not like it when his Survivors are on The Traitors," Davidson warns. They also discuss the hot topic of Donna Kelce, the mother of NFL bros Travis and Jason Kelce, and whether Travis' girlfriend, Taylor Swift, might be posting about The Traitors this year. "You know she's going to watch," Davidson smiles. "She probably already does. I mean, I'm sure Donna had an advisor and got some advice from from Taylor and her kids, or at least spoke to them about it, so it'll be interesting to see their take." Season 4 of The Traitors is expected to air in early 2026, as the first three seasons all began in January. The show has already been picked up for a fifth season. Why Addison Rae Took a Step Back from Social Media: 'I Felt So Misunderstood'
Addison Rae is opening up about why she's taken a step back from social media The "Headphones On" singer shared that she's learned to value her privacy following her rise to fame on TikTok "Being misunderstood is definitely annoying and it does get on my nerves sometimes," she saidAddison Rae is taking a step back from social media. During a recent appearance on Therapuss with Jake Shane, the 24-year-old singer opened up about why she's stopped sharing so much of herself on social media platforms, following her rise to fame as a dancer on TikTok. "I felt so misunderstood," she shared of her time on social media, "but I was sharing so much." "Sometimes you do what you need to do to get where you want to go," she continued. "I wasn't showing every part of myself, as one mostly doesn't, you know. There are elements of yourself that surely you don't share online that aren't bad — they just aren't things you're willing to share or talk about or, you know, show." Rae shared that over the course of her young career, she realized that having a sense of privacy is one of the most important things to her. "I think privacy becomes really important over time," she continued. "Like, 'OK, what can I allow people access to that isn't going to hurt me? Or they're not going to use to make me feel conflicted in my own life decisions that I have to make?'" "Being misunderstood is definitely annoying and it does get on my nerves sometimes, but I think over time, I've realized that if somebody's commenting that 'I'm not this' [or] 'This is not who I am.' ... Or when I was 19 I was more authentic," the "Headphones On" singer added. "I'm like, okay, well, I just moved to LA. I'm like, geez. I was from a small town, of course I didn't experience a lot of things or have the opportunity to even figure out who I was in those those ways," she continued. "Because it was life whenever you grow up in a small town." In another part of her conversation with Shane, Rae also shared she's applying the idea of "slowing things down" or taking a step back when it comes to other parts of her life so she can avoid feeling "too exposed." "It happens very frequently with a lot of artists," she shared. "They feel like they're too exposed or they need to pull back or, you know, they're too scared to get overdone or feel like you're too in front of everybody's face and that people will get tired of you." Love Island's Ben Holbrough had a hair transplant before the show: See before and after pictures
Love Island's Ben Holbrough has been the talk of this week's show thanks to his icky situ with Toni (read: his ego is through the roof). More recently, however, it's not his coupling that has people online talking, but a number of TikTok and Instagram videos that reveal he underwent a hair transplant before entering the villa. Shocking, much? Well, you've not seen the transformative before and after pictures, yet... Last year, at just 22 years old, the taxi driver from Gloucester underwent the hair transplant procedure at 360 Hair Clinic in Brighton. The clinic has shared multiple clips on social media showcasing his transformation, including a video taken six months post-surgery, highlighting fuller, thicker, and healthier-looking hair. "We developed a full post-treatment plan tailored specifically for Ben, combining in-clinic treatments and our 360 Optimum Hair products to protect the newly transplanted follicles, minimise shedding and promote healthy, long-term growth," the clinic wrote to caption one of their posts. We're pleased to see that the procedure has increased Ben's confidence and self-love! That said, Ben isn't the only boy from this year's cast of Love Island to have had a hair transplant. Semi-pro footballer Harry Cooksley also underwent a transformation in Istanbul, Turkey, at just 24 years old. Harry has previously said that he underwent the "perfect experience". The increasing openness among male reality TV stars about cosmetic procedures reflects a broader societal shift towards destigmatising such treatments. And while users on social media can be cruel, the reach that certain forums have has played a significant role in normalising discussions around hair loss and restoration, encouraging more and more individuals to speak about men's grooming and self-image.
