Draymond Green Did Not Mince Words on Chicago Sky's Blowout Loss to Fever
Draymond Green Did Not Mince Words on Chicago Sky's Blowout Loss to Fever originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
With the season already over for the Golden State Warriors, former Defensive Player of the Year Draymond Green has had more time on his hands.

As it turns out, the four-time All-Star has been following the WNBA, and Green caught some of the action on Saturday night. The four-time NBA champ, however, was not delighted with what he saw, particularly from the Chicago Sky.
Angel Reese and Co. got themselves utterly humiliated again on Saturday as they suffered a 79-52 home loss to their biggest rivals, the Indiana Fever, who did not have the services of the injured Caitlin Clark.
Green took to social media to share his brutally honest thoughts on the Sky's performance.
"The Sky play a very bad brand of basketball," Green posted on Threads.

Green is not the type to mince words, and he's made his opinion of Chicago extremely clear here.

As the NBA veteran said, it was a deplorable all-around performance from the Sky on Saturday night. On the offensive end, not even a single Chicago player was able to score in double figures as they collectively shot 32.1% as a team.
The Sky didn't fare too well on the defense as well, with players such as Kelsey Mitchell (17 points, five rebounds) pretty much having their way against Chicago throughout the evening.
Green is clearly unimpressed by the Sky's "brand of basketball," and after seeing their performance in this highly anticipated clash against the Fever, it's hard to argue against the Warriors star.

Colston Loveland Spotted in Uniform as Bears Monitor Injury Comeback
Colston Loveland Spotted in Uniform as Bears Monitor Injury Comeback originally appeared on Athlon Sports. OTAs are rolling along at Halas Hall, and while a handful of Bears are still nursing injuries—T.J. Edwards, Kyler Gordon, Luther Burden III, Shemar Turner, Braxton Jones, and Ryan Bates among them—there was one moment that stood out. A highly-touted rookie, recovering from shoulder surgery, was seen suited up and walking with staff to the practice fields. It wasn't a full return, but it was a clear step in the right direction. Advertisement Colston Loveland, the 10th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and first tight end taken, has been on the mend since undergoing shoulder surgery earlier this year. Out of Michigan, Loveland was known for being a mismatch nightmare and is projected to play a big role in Ben Johnson's offense, especially with Caleb Williams heading into year two. Bears Coach Ben JohnsonGetty Images According to Just Another Year Chicago: Bears, there's reason for optimism. Adam Jahns of The Athletic reported: 'Rookie tight end Colston Loveland could be getting closer to returning after shoulder surgery,' Jahns wrote. 'He was spotted in uniform, accompanying staff members to other practice fields at Halas Hall while the rest of the team practiced on Fields 1 and 2.' Loveland himself sounded encouraged when he spoke during his introductory press conference on April 25: 'Six months was the timetable. We're three out right now. And it feels great. I got full range of motion and everything. I can do really everything but just like super heavy weight. ... We're in a good spot.' Colston Loveland© Kamil Krzaczynski-Imagn Images Seeing Loveland back out there—even if just in uniform—is a great sign for Chicago. With Ben Johnson building a scheme designed to elevate Williams, having a versatile weapon like Loveland trending toward a return only strengthens what the Bears are putting together on offense. Caitlin Clark injury update: When will Fever star return? 'We're gonna play the long game'
INDIANAPOLIS – Caitlin Clark will not play in Tuesday's game at Atlanta, Fever coach Stephanie White said on Monday. Clark's status for the game, which come just over two weeks after she suffered a quad strain, was previously up in the air. Clark didn't rule out playing in the game in her availability on June 3, but said she would need to be re-evaluated and left it up to the Fever's medical staff to make the final decision. Now, that question has been answered. "Not for tomorrow, no," White said Monday when asked if Clark would be available on Tuesday. Personal touches, secret messages: Behind the scenes of making Caitlin Clark's new Wilson basketballs Clark suffered a quad strain sometime during the Fever's game against the New York Liberty on May 24, though she couldn't pinpoint the specific play it happened. She reported some pain after the game and got an MRI, which showed a strain in her left quad. 'Obviously, adrenaline covers up a lot of stuff when you're in the heat of battle,' Clark said during her media availability on June 3. 'And after the game, I had some pain, and then we got an MRI, and that kind of gave me the result that I didn't want to see. But, you know, those types of things don't lie.' Clark's original timeline was that she would be out for two weeks before she would be re-evaluated, setting her re-evaluation date at June 8. She was evaluated this weekend and allowed to begin some aspects of practice again, White said, but not necessarily cleared for basketball activities at the highest level. "I don't know if cleared is the right word, I mean, she's ready to start ramping back up," White said. "But it's completely different when you're just doing 1-on-1 workouts, and when you're out there in 5-on-5, getting up and down the floor, moving laterally. So she's been allowed to do some practicing, not everything. And we're gonna be smart, and we're gonna be cautious, and we're gonna play the long game." Clark participated in the portion of practice open to media Monday afternoon, which were shooting drills from midrange and 3-point range. They went around the arc as a team, making shots from each corner, each wing and the top of the key. Clark didn't seem limited in that portion of practice, running for rebounds and shooting as normal. But shooting drills are much different than actual practice — both in the amount of contact and the intricacies of it. "It's one thing to do some shooting drills," White said. "It's another thing to get out there on the floor, get back into movement patterns, rhythm, timing, and so that's what part of, you know, picking and choosing things that they can be in in practice, so that we can see their progression." White did not provide a specific timeline for Clark's return to the court. The Fever play at Atlanta on Tuesday, then return to Indianapolis and a have a few days off before playing the New York Liberty on Saturday. No, the Fever star will miss her fifth straight game as she recovers from a quad injury. Coach Stephanie White confirmed Monday that Clark would not play on Tuesday.

Woeful White Sox have penguin throw out first pitch: ‘Can he start tomorrow?'
Perhaps the solution to the White Sox pitching woes is a little penguin named Pepe. Before Sunday's game against the Royals, Chicago trotted out Pepe to accompany Dr. Mike Adkesson, president and CEO of the Brookfield Zoo, for the ceremonial first pitch at Rate Field. Pepe waddled out to the mound from the dugout while Adkesson tossed in a strike. The White Sox (22-44) could've used the penguin's services during the game, though, as they went on to lose 7-5. 'Major upgrade for the White Sox pitching staff!' remarked one fan on X. 'Can he start tomorrow?' asked another. Advertisement 'Billy, this is Pepe. He's a penguin. He is one of the most undervalued birds in baseball. His defect is he can't fly,' cracked another, referencing the classic scene from Moneyball. 3 Pepe the penguin with Brookfield Zoo President and CEO Dr. Mike Adkesson and White Sox reporter Brooke Fletcher. @CHSN_WhiteSox/X 3 White Sox manager Will Venable in Sunday's 7-5 loss to the Royals. AP The White Sox have the ninth-worst team ERA in the majors with a 4.12, and the loss to Kansas City was a prime example of their woes on the mound — Chicago's bullpen gave up five runs in a brutal display. Advertisement Others couldn't help but poke fun at former NFL player Taylor Lewan, who went viral for his brutal first pitch at a Cardinals game last week. 'Nobody show this to @TaylorLewan77,' posted one fan on X, with dozens of others echoing a similar message. The White Sox will look to take inspiration from Pepe as they attempt to climb out of a 20 ½-game hole in the AL Central starting with a three-game series in Houston against the Astros beginning on Tuesday night.
