Following two lawsuits, more companies are likely to sue the actor amid the ongoing controversy.
Amid an escalating controversy surrounding his personal life, South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun has once again found himself in hot water with another legal trouble. As per reports, Soo Hyun has been sued by two companies, referred to as Company A and Company B, seeking damages of about 3 billion won, or $2.1 million. Both companies hired the actor as an advertising model, and now, they have filed lawsuits for compensation of damages and reimbursement of their payment made to Kim Soo Hyun against his advertisement contracts.
As per a Soompi report, another company, namely C, also terminated its advertising contract with Kim Soo Hyun over breach of trust and is now considering a similar lawsuit for model fee reimbursement and penalty for breach of contract. Speaking on the same, lawyer Park Sung Woo, who is representing the plaintiffs in the case, explained that Kim Soo Hyun has signed various advertising model contracts with 15 different brands, and based on the domestic contracts, he is believed to have received between 1 billion and 1.2 billion won in model fees per contract.
'Usually, advertisers tend to be reluctant to become known as the first company to file a lawsuit against a model. However, once it is revealed that one company has filed a lawsuit, it is likely that more advertisers will join in suing," he added. The actor's agency, Gold Medalist, has responded to the claims, stating, 'We have not yet confirmed whether a lawsuit has been filed."
This comes at a time when multiple brands have already terminated their advertisement contracts with the actor following major accusations of dating late actress Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor. Besides the dating rumours, Kim Soo Hyun has also been accused of ignoring Kim Sae Ron after she attempted to contact him last year and further demanded that she pay millions in damages over her DUI case in 2022.
Earlier this year, the actress passed away at a young age of 22, with authorities touting her death as a suicide case.

Kim Soo Hyun scores first big win: YouTuber Kim Se Ui's properties seized, Tzuyang case reopened, arrest warrant looms if he skips summons

The legal battle between Kim Soo Hyun and YouTuber Kim Se Ui resulted in the first win for the actor. On June 9, the Seoul Central District Court approved a request filed by the Queen of Tears star's agency, Gold Medalist, allowing them to seize two luxury properties owned by Kim Se Ui. The actor had earlier filed a lawsuit worth 12 billion KRW against Garosero's (The YouTube channel) head and late actor Kim Sae Ron's family for accusing him of dating the actor when she was underage, alongside breaching privacy and publicly disclosing private matters while fabricating the facts. Also read: Amid Kim Soo Hyun backlash, a look at 7 Korean actors who bounced back from controversies K-media Money Today reported the court found enough merit in the agency's damage claims to greenlight the seizure, at least at this stage. The seized properties include a 120.27㎡ apartment in Seocho Buksan Blooming and a 208.65㎡ unit in Apgujeong-dong's Hanyang Apartment Complex 4. Since the second property is co-owned with the YouTuber's sister, only his 50% share was allowed to be seized. Gold Medalist is trying to secure at least 4 billion KRW from these properties, 2 billion each, as part of its civil lawsuit. Jonjae Law Firm's attorney Noh Jong Eon stated, 'The court likely found reasonable grounds in the claimed damages. However, since this is a provisional seizure, Kim Se-ui's rebuttal has yet to be reviewed. The final compensation could change after a full hearing.' According to the current market analysis, the Seocho apartment is valued at around 2.5 billion KRW; meanwhile, the second one could be valued at around 8.87 billion KRW. However, both properties reportedly have large mortgage loans, so extracting the exact amount to recover their damages might not be easy for Gold Medalist if the court rules in their favour later. Also read: Kim Soo Hyun breaks silence on financial trouble amid lawsuit discrepancy: 'We did not fail to pay…' Earlier, it was reported that police are preparing paperwork to summon Kim Se Ui, who has been dodging questioning for a while now. The Garo Sero host is now cornered by a double setback. In a completely separate but parallel case, popular YouTuber Tzuyang also filed a lawsuit against Kim Se Ui in February 2025, accusing him of blackmail, coercion, violation of the Anti-Stalking Law, and defamation. The case was reopened after the YouTuber appealed and gave her statement in May 2025. When police tried to summon Kim Se Ui for questioning in both the Tzuyang and Kim Soo Hyun cases, he skipped appearances twice, citing his involvement and business in South Korea's presidential election. Now that the election is over, police are preparing to summon him again. Authorities have also warned that if he continues to ignore summons, they may issue an arrest warrant. The public dispute between Soo Hyun and Kim Se Ui started back in March, following Kim Sae Ron's tragic death. The YouTuber accused the actor of being in an 'inappropriate relationship' with the deceased. In response, the actor and his agency held a press conference where they denied the allegations, stating that the two only dated after Sae Ron became an adult. Following that, Garo Sero dropped more pictures, video call logs, and even message transcripts, some of which were reconstructed. The actor then filed both criminal and civil cases, and in response, Kim Sae Ron's family filed a countersuit against Kim Soo Hyun, accusing him of violating child welfare laws and making false accusations. The legal investigations are still ongoing.

'Love me Tete!': BTS V shares heartwarming military photos, recreates iconic Wooga squad moment, shows ARMY how loved Kim Taehyung is

One thing about Kim Taehyung — the charming singer from BTS — is that he is truly loved. Whether it's his on-screen presence, on-stage charisma, or his off-stage silliness like doing his iconic "Tata-mic face," the singer, better known by his stage name V, is undeniably a fan magnet. So, it came as no surprise that he formed close bonds while serving in the South Korean military during his mandatory enlistment. Now discharged, Taehyung reunited with some of his fellow soldiers who had already completed their service, while those still serving wished him a happy and fulfilling life ahead. Adding to the excitement, his beloved "Wooga Squad" — a close-knit friend group consisting of V, actors Park Seo-joon, Park Hyung-sik, Choi Woo-shik, and musician Peakboy — delighted fans by recreating an iconic photo they had taken together before his enlistment. BTS' V recreates iconic Wooga squad moment The Wooga squad had originally taken a memorable group photo that V shared before his military enlistment in 2023. Now, following his discharge, the group has recreated that iconic image — with all the members looking at V with warm, affectionate eyes. V posted the updated photo on his Instagram story, adding a simple "Thank you" caption along with a black heart emoji. Kim Taehyung gives ARMY a glimpse into his military life In addition, V shared 20 photos on Instagram with the caption "Love me Tete," a playful nod to the song "Love Me JeJe" by Tems, which he paired with the post. The photos offer a peek into his life during enlistment, including solo shots at the HYBE building and in the military, candid moments with his fellow Special Duty Team (SDT) members, snapshots of him reading a book, and working out at the gym alongside actor Song Kang. He even included a video showing off his toned physique as he effortlessly twirled a baseball bat — a clip that had ARMY screaming with excitement. More about BTS Fresh from completing his mandatory military service alongside RM, BTS' V has officially returned — a major milestone on the road to the group's long-awaited reunion. Having served in the elite Special Duty Team, V is now back and waiting for Min Yoongi to finish his enlistment. With all seven members expected to be discharged by June 2025, anticipation is building for a full-group comeback.
