Police search for shooter who injured 2 at crowded park during graduation
Police say surveillance cameras captured an incident where two people were shot near a Forest Park soccer field where kids were about to practice.
Investigators hope those at Kiwanis Park cameras will lead them to the gunmen.
It's amazing more people didn't get hurt, with a soccer practice and a Tee-ball game going on nearby, as well as a graduation at Kiwanis Stadium.
Channel 2's Tom Jones was at the park Wednesday as officers came back out to the scene where two people were shot near this soccer field.

They brought out K-9s to sniff for evidence.
Parent Juan Pargo told Channel 2 a day earlier he had just dropped his kids off at soccer practice.
'I hear about six or seven shots going,' he said.
The gunfire sent everyone scrambling for cover, including Pargo.
'Of course I ducked down inside my truck,' he said.
Police say a 40-year-old man and a victim 18 years old were hit but survived.
The 2 shooters got away.
Councilwoman Latresa Akins-Wells came right after the shooting.
'For this to happen in our community is very unfortunate,' she said.
Police say they don't know what sparked the shooting.
But officers say this city surveillance camera captured what happened.
'So if you got away last night, you won't get away for long,' Akins-Wells said.
One of the victims was grazed by a bullet, the other shot in the arm.
Police are asking anyone with information about this shooting to contact them.
Wells also wants those bent on causing mayhem in Forest Park to know police will hunt you down.
'If you want to commit a crime, go elsewhere,' she said.

The possible modification of the tape, a notion floated by the defense ahead of the trial, was refuted by Piazza, who assured the court that the footage was not manually altered, saying that he'd slowed the footage to real time because a technical file converting video process inadvertently sped up. At the request of the government (at a rate of $295/hour), Piazza compiled video clips of the footage to 'track the movement of individuals inside the events'; signs of tampering were not present and the video, which was again shown to the jury for the eighth time since the trial began, were reliable depictions of what occurred in December 2016 in that hotel hallway. He also analyzed 10 'sex videos' recorded between 2012 and 2014 pulled from the 'Frank Black' user profile — a Combs pseudonym — and the laptop Ventura submitted to investigators. During cross-examination, Piazza told the court that the time stamps are not inaccurate, but that motion-activated cameras only update time stamps with distinct movement, saying that motion triggers a time stamp change in this camera system. Heading into the afternoon, the jury heard testimony from Bryana Bongolan, whose alleged ordeal was briefly discussed earlier in the trial. She testified about a fight with Combs in 2016 when the powerful mogul 'held her over a 17-story balcony.' Bongolan said Combs 'threw (her) onto the balcony furniture,' and she sustained injuries. Bongolan testified that she still suffers from 'night terrors and paranoia.' She did not report the myriad instances of violence, one of which included Combs tossing a knife into a wall, but she was terrified of Combs and his massive power. At one point, Combs threatened her life when she was accompanying Ventura on a 2016 beach photo shoot. 'He came up really close to my face and said something around the lines of, 'I'm the devil and I could kill you,'' Bongolan said. Bongolan and Ventura's rampant drug use together over their long-term friendship was another topic on Wednesday. In cross-examination, she was grilled about doing drugs with Ventura, selling them to her and giving them to her for free. The two would take cocaine, Percocet and Cocoa Puffs — marijuana blunts laced with Ketamine. The court adjourned after 4 p.m. Wednesday and will resume with defense attorney Nicole Westmoreland's grilling cross-examination of Bongolan, but not until 11 a.m. Thursday. Finally, the defense team had a long-awaited win Wednesday when Judge Arun Subramanian allowed them to meet with Combs in the court until 6 p.m. to strategize about the case. The team has been pushing for this extra time from the judge for weeks. ‘His memory will be cherished': Bowie police mourn loss of department's first K-9
BOWIE, Md. () — The Bowie Police Department (BPD) is mourning the loss of its very first K-9 to ever join the force. K-9 Rooster served with the department for six years. 'He was a loyal companion to our officers and our civilian staff,' the department stated on social media. 'K-9 Rooster made significant contributions to many arrests and assisted in narcotics and search warrant cases.' Aisha Braveboy projected winner for Prince George's County executive BPD said he was a beloved community figure, engaging in the department's National Night Out, making visits to schools and other City activities. Drugs, cheeseburgers: Raid inside Fulton County Jail reveals contraband operation, officials say
Deputies and detention officers conducted a raid Thursday inside the main jail in northwest Atlanta and uncovered a contraband operation at the jail annex in Union City. Channel 2 Investigative Reporter Mark Winne got exclusive access to the raid. The shakedown was a rapid response to something discovered outside the jail that alarmed the Fulton County Sheriff's Office – a large hole cut in the fence. [DOWNLOAD: Free WSB-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] 'Just doing regular security rounds, I got on the shift and came back here and discovered this,' said a law enforcement official. In all, three holes were found in three levels of fencing surrounding the complex. Chief Jailer Jarrett Gorlin says they found makeshift fishing line in a cell already closed because someone had burned a hole in the window. He said they were using it to reel in the contraband from outside. Gorlin says inmates commonly use wires in lighting fixtures and pieces of metal ripped from the jail interior to melt holes in cell windows. 'More than likely from last night's load, these are cigarettes that they pack in socks, copious amounts of what appears to be marijuana, cell phone, more homemade shanks, and what they use to burn the windows out,' he said. The sheriff's office says the main jail on Rice Street was not the only facility affected. On Wednesday morning, a deputy assisted by Union City police arrested three people laying down by a hole in the fence at the jail's south annex with bolt cutters nearby. They had a bag containing cigarettes, marijuana, cell phones, candy, vapes, phone chargers, cheeseburgers and more.
