Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Naga Chaitanya Spark Reunion Rumours As Ye Maaya Chesave Is Set To Re-Release
Last Updated: Samantha and Naga Chaitanya's Ye Maaya Chesave to re-release in 2025. Will the ex-couple reunite to promote the film that once brought them together? One film. One love story. And now, one question on every fan's mind — will Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya reunite to celebrate the movie that changed their lives? Ye Maaya Chesave, the 2010 Telugu romantic drama that introduced Samantha and paired her with Naga Chaitanya, is all set to return to theatres on July 18, 2025, fifteen years after its original release. The re-release has sparked major buzz — not just for the timeless film, but for the ex-couple who once turned reel love into real. Samantha and Naga Chaitanya first met while filming Ye Maaya Chesave. Their chemistry on-screen was undeniable, and soon after, their romance blossomed off-screen too. The two became one of South cinema's most loved couples and tied the knot in 2017, much to the delight of their fans. But in 2021, they publicly announced their separation — a move that left millions heartbroken. Since then, they've never been seen together, either in public or on screen. Life has moved on. Naga Chaitanya is now married to actress Sobhita Dhulipala, while Samantha, who has been linked to filmmaker Raj Nidimoru, continues to reinvent herself as one of the boldest voices in Indian cinema. Yet, the legacy of Ye Maaya Chesave remains. Directed by Gautham Menon and featuring A.R. Rahman's unforgettable soundtrack, the film is widely seen as a modern Telugu classic. Its emotionally rich storytelling and youthful charm continue to hold a special place in audiences' hearts. And now, with the re-release date officially announced, social media is buzzing with one big question: will Samantha and Chaitanya come together again to promote the movie that first brought them close? There's no confirmation yet — but the speculation alone is enough to stir nostalgia. Samantha Ruth Prabhu Removes 'Ye Maaya Chesave' Tattoo? During their relationship, Samantha had inked three tattoos in tribute to Chaitanya and their journey together. One of the most prominent among them was the 'YMC" tattoo on her upper back, an homage to the film where their love began. Now, four years after their divorce, fans are speculating that the actress has had the tattoo removed. In a new Instagram video shared by Samantha, she's seen wearing a burgundy dress with a deep-cut back while writing 'Nothing to Hide" on a glass screen. But notably, the YMC tattoo is no longer visible on her back, which has led fans to wonder if she has decided to remove it. First Published: June 16, 2025, 09:32 IST

Abhishek Bachchan's actress who was critised of not having fuller lips 'Was asked to get nose job, lip fillers', she will be now seen in...
Hindi and Telugu actress Saiyami Kher, who will be seen reprising her role of agent Juhi in the second season of Neeraj Pandey's 'Special Ops', has once shared how she was advised to get lip fillers and a nose job done because people in the industry didn't find her face appropriate. Kher has faced criticism for not undergoing cosmetic procedures. Saiyami seems like a strong-headed actress who refused to undergo the knife. She said in an interview, 'Only on actresses? No, I feel it's actors, actresses – everyone. I feel if someone is not comfortable or happy with the way they look, and they are okay with doing something [to change that, by all means, they should do it if it's going to make them feel like a better, happier person. But you can't be so affected by what the world thinks—that's my opinion. Some people told me I needed to get a lip job done because my lips weren't full enough. They also said I should get a nose job.' Saiyami Kher will be seen in Special Ops 2 On donning an action-packed role, Saiyami at the show's trailer launch in Mumbai on Monday, June 16, said, 'For women, there are certain roles which people don't write and you wonder why. But even before Special Ops, what Neeraj sir did with Taapsee Pannu in Baby stood out for me. I hadn't seen anything like that in Indian cinema before. I love doing action. I love beating up guys. That's what women feel like on the inside when guys tease them on the streets. I'm just happy he gave me that opportunity.' Directed by Shivam Nair, 'Special Ops 2' also stars Kay Kay Menon, Prakash Raj, Vinay Pathak, Karan Tacker, Saiyami Kher, Muzammil Ibrahim, Gautami Kapoor, Parmeet Sethi, and Kali Prasad Mukherjee.
