‘I know what club I signed for' – Daniel Farke breaks silence on sack rumours as Leeds boss says ‘it's not surprising'
DANIEL FARKE is unsurprised by claims Leeds are considering sacking him — despite securing Premier League promotion.
The Whites sealed their top-flight return after two years out when they thumped Stoke 6-0 last Monday.

Yet despite his success, Leeds reportedly doubt boss Farke is the right man to lead them into the big time.
The German's critics point to his record with Norwich — two Prem promotions and two immediate returns to the second tier.
Asked if he felt disrespected, Farke said: 'Not at all, it's not surprising.
'I knew for which club I signed, I'm not sure how many managers Leeds had in the last 20 years, but it's a good effort if you last for three months.
'Once you sign a contract, there's lots of pressure, noise, expectations.
'On a weekly basis someone is linked. It's nothing new.'

But Farke has failed to win over one section of Leeds fans.
They were unhappy with his playing style, use of substitutes and, until recently, his faith in keeper Illan Meslier.

Farke took the reins at Leeds last term following relegation and only missed out on a Prem spot when Southampton beat them in the play-off final.
Now he's not just ensured a Prem spot, they top the Championship on goal difference.
And victory in their final two games would mean 100 points.
They host Bristol City on Monday then travel to bottom side Plymouth on May 3.
However, Farke's win record in the top division stands at only 12%.
If Leeds did take the controversial decision to replace him, there could be an attempt to lure back Spaniard Carlos Corberan, who was assistant boss under Marcelo Bielsa and had decent spells in charge of Huddersfield and West Brom.
Three huge names have also been mentioned - Steven Gerrard, Patrick Vieira and Jose Mourinho.
Leeds could hit 100 points this season if they win their final two matches - they currently have 94.
If Farke is axed Leeds could try and lure Carlos Corberan back to the club - the Spaniard was assistant under Marcelo Bielsa and has had success in England with Huddersfield and West Brom.

The call for minimum protections to be introduced worldwide comes as some of the world's top stars prepare to take part in the newly-expanded FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, which starts on Saturday. The tournament does not end until July 13, meaning Manchester City and Chelsea players could have a gap of just five weeks before the new Premier League season kicks off on August 16. England head coach Thomas Tuchel said earlier this week that the demands placed on City and Chelsea by the Club World Cup will hand a 'huge advantage' to Liverpool and Arsenal in next season's Premier League title race. The European division of world players' union FIFPRO and Europe's leagues have taken legal action against FIFA over what they see as a lack of consultation by the game's global governing body over the fixture calendar. The scheduling of the Club World Cup within that calendar has been described as a 'tipping point' in the debate by Premier League chief executive Richard Masters. The expert group has put forward 12 'position statements' on player welfare as part of the Delphi Study, which they feel should be adopted worldwide as minimum welfare standards. These included a mandatory four-week off-season break, and within that a two-week blackout period where clubs and national teams should have no contact at all with players. There should then be a minimum four-week retraining period after the off-season break before resuming competitive football. Mid-season breaks should last a minimum of one week, experts said. Premier League players will not benefit from any mid-season break next season, as was the case in 2024-25. A pause was introduced in the 2019-20 season but was dropped before the start of the season just ended, due to the expansion of international competitions like UEFA's Champions League, Europa League and Conference League. MANCHESTER, England, June 12 (Reuters) - Manchester United completed the signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers, United announced on Thursday, with the Brazil forward joining on a five-year contract.
