The five-year-old – who has golfers Brooks Koepka and Graeme McDowell amongst his owners – has enjoyed a fine season and notched up his third win of the campaign when making all over course and distance last month.
He now returns to the Lancashire track for one final outing before a summer break, with his handler ready to 'roll the dice' to find out if he has the required extra lurking in reserve to bow out on a high.
'Everything is in his favour barring a career-high mark and top weight,' said Derham.

'He obviously loved the track last time and he looks to be in exceedingly good form, but he's never been higher than 137 and the burden of top weight will make life pretty tough.
'He's a very consistent, tough horse and did everything right last time – I don't think Dan's (Skelton) horse was getting by him at the line – but he will need to put in a much better effort to win the Swinton. Has he got that in him, I don't know, but it's worth finding out.
'It's a difficult season when you are four turning five and for him to have won three times is great. We said if he came out of the last race well we would roll the dice at the Swinton and he has, so we'll have a go.'
There is also Listed Flat action on the mixed card and owners Juddmonte have a strong hand in the Pertemps Network Spring Trophy Stakes with Harry Charlton's Kikkuli and Andrew Balding's Array.
A half-brother to Frankel, Kikkuli rattled the crossbar at Royal Ascot last year before competing in deep waters later in the campaign and is held in the highest regard by connections ahead of his return to action.
'Kikkuli had a very good season last year and was of course only just denied a win at Royal Ascot in the Jersey,' said Juddmonte's European racing manager Barry Mahon.
'He's in good form and Harry is very happy with him. It's his first run of the year and you would expect him to improve for it as he's a big, burly horse. But he's in good shape and we're looking forward to seeing him back on the track.'
Array won the Mill Reef as a juvenile and is expected to be sharper for a first run in 546 days at Thirsk last month.
He went on: 'Array needed his run back having been off the track for 18 months and Andrew feels he has come forward for that.
'I think we will see a better reflection of his ability on Saturday and both horses are in line to return to Haydock in a couple of weeks time for the John of Gaunt Stakes (May 31).
'Both of these are using it as a springboard for that race, but Array might be a little more streetwise than Kikkuli having had a run.'

With Jadon Sancho returning to Manchester United, Mikel believes another winger is a must, along with a central midfielder. While Levi Cowill and Trevoh Chalobah finished the season formidably with Wesley Fofana injured again, the Nigerian believes the squad could also benefit from an experienced option at the back. 'I'm excited by the business the club has done. But if we can go again and win the Club World Cup, they can bring in more money and go again and spend,' Mikel told Metro. 'Bring in an experienced centre-back another midfield player and another winger. Jadon Sancho is going back to Manchester United, if we can bring in another winger who can take on players, create chances and score goals, that is what we need. 'We need to keep improving and I am sure Laurence Stewart, Paul Winstanley [Chelsea's co-sporting directors] and the guys there are working hard behind the scenes to bring in some really good players to improve the squad.' He continued: I think they are legitimate contenders and we should believe that. We have a great squad, a young team but a great squad, a team that has just tasted what it is like to win a trophy. 'Winning is about culture and that is what Chelsea Football Club is and we have to continue that culture. This young squad has now tasted what it feels like to win a trophy, I hope they can build on it because that creates a winning mentality around the squad.' Noni Madueke's return of 11 goals and five assists saw him emerge as an important component in that young attack, also forcing his way into the England picture. The 23-year-old found himself questioned and challenged by his manager on more than one occasion, however, warned over his performances in training in August before being dropped from the squad for a game against Aston Villa for similar reasons in December. Madueke now finds his future at Stamford Bridge uncertain with Newcastle United interested in bringing him to St James' Park. Mikel shares some of Maresca's concerns over the winger, insisting 'there is a lot of room for improvement' given the talent he has at his disposal. While he would like to see Madeuke remain part of the squad, the arrival of a new wide option could see him shown the door. 'I like him,' Mikel said of Madueke. 'There is a lot of room for improvement however, I think him as a player, he can definitely do more. He can do more defensively and in terms of scoring goals. Maybe there is a reason Maresca wants to get rid of him. 'There is a lot more expected from Noni. His relationship with the manager, all throughout the season there was a little bit of tension. But I liked that, he gave him that little kick up the backside. You have to get better. Your end product has to be better. More Trending 'Enzo knows Noni can do better, he knows there's a lot more there. I think Noni has taken it on board sometimes but he can do better. If he is the player that is going to have to be let go to bring in another top winger, it's not a bad idea but for me, I would keep him and bring in someone else. 'Because the talent is there. But he needs to perform week in week out. The manager knows better than anyone else, he must have seen something in him we haven't seen. Maybe how he trains, how he applies himself, I don't know, if that is going to happen, maybe there is a reason Maresca wants to get rid of him. But as a Chelsea fan, I keep him.' While he was a Group 1 winner on heavy at Saint-Cloud in France last October. 4 New Ground Getting into the really big prices at 50-1, this French raider was a winner on heavy last October. He has been campaigned at a higher level since and come up short - but maybe ultra soft ground is what he needs. His sire won a French Derby on heavy so there is certainly hope. 5 Green Storm If Tennessee Stud is a play, then 200-1 outsider Green Storm has to be as well. Owned by Ahmad Al Shaikh, a genius owner who seemingly always gets a big-price fancy in the frame at the Derby - Hoo Ya Mal at 150-1 was the standout - he screams stamina. Al Shaikh is obsessed with winning the Derby and while this would be the mother of all shocks, a small punt each-way could prove the prudent play. Tottenham are searching for their fifth permanent manager in six years after sacking Ange Postecoglou, with chairman Daniel Levy looking to the Premier League for a replacement Thomas Frank leads a five-man shortlist Tottenham chiefs have drawn up as they search for a replacement for Ange Postecoglou. Spurs sacked the Australian on Friday, despite him leading them to winning the Europa League. That was the club's first major trophy for 17 years and their first piece of European silverware since 1984. But Postecoglou paid the price for an awful Premier League campaign. Spurs won just 11 top-flight games and ended up 17th in the table, their lowest finish since being relegated in 1977. While the Europa League win ensured the season was not a failure, chairman Daniel Levy opted to make a change. It means that Spurs will be looking for their fifth permanent manager of the last six years. In that time, Ryan Mason has also had two periods as caretaker boss, while Cristian Stellini also had a spell in interim charge. While the first summer transfer window remains open for the next three days, Levy's attention will turn to who he could bring in to replace Postecoglou. It appears that this time, Spurs will look for an appointment from inside the Premier League. According to BBC Sport, Brentford boss Frank is at the top of the shortlist. Frank has emerged as one of the top-flight's best coaches during his time in charge of the Bees, since taking over in 2018. He led them to promotion to the Premier League in 2021 and has since transformed them into a solid top-flight outfit. They finished 10th in the table this season and reached the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup. Also in contention is Bournemouth's Andoni Iraola, who built his reputation with La Liga's Rayo Vallecano. The Spaniard led the Cherries to a record Premier League points haul this season as they finished ninth. The third man on the list is Marco Silva, who has solidified Fulham's place in the Premier League. Silva had the reputation for being somewhat of a mercenary during his first years in English football. He took charge of Hull, Watford and Everton in the space on two years. But since taking over the Cottagers in 2021 he has restored himself, leading them to the Championship title in 2022. Having won the FA Cup with Crystal Palace, Oliver Glasner is also in contention. The Austrian has only been at Selhurst Park for 18 months and suffered a difficult start to this season, but came through it to lead Palace to their first-ever major trophy. Finally, a familiar name to crop up whenever the Spurs job becomes available is once again on the list. Mauricio Pochettino turned Spurs into title-challengers during his five years at the club from 2014 and is now in charge of the United States national team. It is unknown how serious Tottenham's interest in Pochettino is, and given he spent a year with Chelsea it may be an unpopular move. The Argentine may even be likely to turn down an approach as he focuses on leading the USA in a home World Cup next summer.
