This summer, the National Museum of Indian Cinema (NMIC) under NFDC (National Film Development Corporation) invite children and families on a journey of storytelling, imagination, and cinema with its specially curated event.
*Titled 'Lights, Camera, Summer!',* this event is a delightful movie marathon of animated adventures, heartfelt tales, and musical folklore which makes it an ideal outing for families looking to combine fun with learning.
The series features three handpicked films to be screened across the month of May on consecutive Saturdays.

May 10(4 pm at JB Hall, NMIC)
Krish, Trish & Baltiboy – A lively animated feature that takes children through traditional Indian folk tales, narrated by the quirky trio: Krish the cat, Trish the monkey, and Baltiboy the donkey. This film, created by award-winning animator Soumitra Ranade, is a visual treat with stories from Rajasthan, Kerala, and Bengal – filled with music, morals, and laughter.
May 24 (4 pm at NMIC Auditorium 2)
Foto – A gentle, touching story about a young boy who sees the world through the lens of his imagination. Featuring veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah, the film explores themes of childhood innocence, mentorship, and creativity.
May 31 (4 pm at NMIC Auditorium 2)
Goopi Gawaiyaa Bagha Bajaiyaa – A colorful animated musical inspired by Satyajit Ray's classic characters, this film follows the hilarious adventures of two musically gifted friends as they journey through fantastical lands, spreading joy with their music. The film is directed by Shilpa Ranade.
