Ather Energy Limited, the Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer, announced that its family scooter, the Rizta, has crossed 1 lakh unit retail sales within a year of launch. Introduced in April 2024 and launched commercially in June 2024, Rizta has quickly become a significant contributor to Ather's total sales, accounting for nearly 60% of the company's volumes.
Ravneet Phokela, Chief Business Officer at Ather, remarked, 'Hitting the 1 lakh milestone with the Rizta is a big moment for us. Built ground-up to serve Indian family needs, Rizta has widened our reach and helped us grow our market share across several key states.'
The scooter's popularity stems from its feature-rich package, including 56L under-seat storage, a wide seat, SkidControl™ (traction control system), Tow & Theft Alerts, Emergency Stop System, and Live Location Sharing. It also features Google Maps integration for enhanced navigation.
Since scaling deliveries in Q2 FY25, Ather's market share has significantly increased across Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh. As per Vahan data, Ather emerged as the #1 EV 2-wheeler brand in South India during Q4 FY25. Disclaimer:
