Kandi Burruss Reveals Her Aunt Bertha Jones Has Alzheimer's

Kandi Burruss' beloved Aunt Bertha Jones has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, the former Real Housewives Of Atlanta peach holder revealed in an interview with Amazon Live on Wednesday, May 21.
'We're having a really hard time because my Aunt Bertha has Alzheimer's,' she said. 'So, you know, trying to manage that.' Viewers fell in love with Aunt Bertha alongside Kandi's outspoken mother Mama Joyce. Dubbed the 'side-eye queen of Atlanta' and one-third of Old Lady Gang, Aunt Bertha put on her apron and rolled up her sleeves to help get the family restaurant off the ground.
'If anyone's ever dealt with somebody in your family going through that, and it gets worse, it's not easy,' she continued. 'So… it's a time.'
In the interview, Kandi also talked about her mom's relationship with Todd. A fan asked the pretty in pink star how Mama Joyce and Todd were 'getting along' to which Kandi responded, 'Not great.' Source: Prince Williams / Getty
Alzheimer's is a progressive disease that affects memory, thinking and behavior, according to Alzheimer's accounts for 60-80% of dementia cases.
