A Member Of Congress Proposed Making A Donald Trump $250 Bill And Shared What That Might Look Like
Last week, Claudia Tenney from New York introduced a bill that would make Donald Trump's birthday a federal holiday. Why? Well, on her website, she wrote, "Born on June 14, 1946, President Donald J. Trump's birthday coincided with Flag Day, which is observed annually and recognizes the anniversary of the adoption of the Stars and Stripes as the official US flag in 1777. This legislation would permanently codify a new federal holiday called 'Trump's Birthday and Flag Day' on June 14 to honor this historic day." Yes, "Trump's Birthday and Flag Day" day! Well, this week we have another lawmaker introducing something similar: A Trump $250 bill. Representative Joe Wilson of South Carolina says he's going to draft legislation to introduce a $250 bill for a Donald Trump because "Bidenflation has destroyed the economy, forcing American families to carry more cash. Most valuable bill for most valuable President!" Now, let's look at some reactions! From the "Hell yeah, let's make a Trump $250 bill!!" side, we have: This person who says they "love the idea." Another person saying we "need" it: "Brilliant idea!!! We need a $250. Dollars bill!" And this person asking, "Where do we voice our support?" Now, let's look at the "What on GOD'S GREEN EARTH is even going on?" side: We've got this person saying, "Good to know our representatives are focused on the important things." Another person saying, "This would be the definition of wasteful time and spending." And this person joking, "Just right for a trip to the store when you only need a dozen eggs!" What do y'all think?

'No modern president has been more pivotal for our country than Donald J. Trump. As both our 45th and 47th President, he is the most consequential President in modern American history, leading our country at a time of great international and domestic turmoil," she said. "Just as George Washington's Birthday is codified as a federal holiday, this bill will add Trump's Birthday to this list, recognizing him as the founder of America's Golden Age." So, yep, we have the possibility of having a "Trump's Birthday and Flag Day" day! His supporters love the idea. But a lot of people are, like, "Wait, what?" "Oh Lord help us all, this is getting past ridonkulous," one person said. Another person brought up kissing the ring: "Republicans have completely lost the plot in trying to kiss Trump's ring." And, of course, we have the classic, "Sure that will bring down the cost of my groceries." Anyway, what do you all think of a national Trump holiday? Good idea or what?

New York Congresswoman introduces bill to make Trump's birthday a federal holiday
A New York Congresswoman has introduced a commemorative bill to make President Donald Trump 's birthday an official federal holiday. The celebratory order, introduced as 'Trump's Birthday and Flag Day Holiday Establishment Act', was proposed by Congresswoman Claudia Tenney Friday. 'This legislation would permanently codify a new federal holiday called 'Trump's Birthday and Flag Day' on June 14 to honor this historic day', Tenney's press release stated. Tenney's newly proposed annual event would coincide with the anniversary of the adoption of the Stars and Stripes as the U.S. flag in 1777, otherwise known as Flag Day. Tenney's statement went on to add: 'Just as George Washington's Birthday is codified as a federal holiday, this bill will add Trump's Birthday to this list, recognizing him as the founder of America's Golden Age. 'By designating Trump's Birthday and Flag Day as a federal holiday, we can ensure President Trump's contributions to American greatness and the importance of the American Flag are forever enshrined into law.' While the news of Flag Day is a first, Trump has previously suggested that flags are of significant importance. Moreover, one of Trump's priorities after winning re-election was to order all American flags to be flown at full mast on inauguration day, regardless of any mourning periods – as his celebrations coincided with the 30-mourning period for former president Jimmy Carter. The move marked the 5th executive order of his term, notably the first non-appointment-related order, and set the precedent for inauguration days going forward. Just weeks before the announcement, Congressman Tenney, who won re-election in November 2024 albeit in a different constituency to the one she previously represented, revealed that her district offices across Watertown, Lockport, Canandaigua, and Oswego, in upper New York state along the Canadian border, were forced to shut following a spate of violent threats made towards her staff, according to Spectrum News1. Equally, a second disturbing incident fell upon New York Congress member, Rep. Nick Langworthy, just days before Tenney's Flag Day announcement after a suspicious package was found at the Congressman's district office in Clarence – forcing an evacuation Thursday, said the congressman. President Trump is expected to start negotiating Russia-Ukraine peace talks this week in Saudi Arabia, according to Politico. The president has yet to weigh in and comment on the newly proposed flag legislation. This weekend Trump was pictured at Daytona 500 completing a lap around the Daytona International Speedway track in an armored presidential limousine.
