Head-on crash kills woman in Brandon Twp.
LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A 26-year-old woman from Oxford was killed in a head-on crash Saturday night in Brandon Twp.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office reports the crash occurred on Baldwin Rd. near Seymour Lake Rd. at approximately 11:41 p.m. on May 24.
The office says the woman was driving a Chevrolet HHR southbound in the northbound lane of Baldwin Rd. when she crashed head-on into a 2007 Hummer H3, driven by a 16-year-old boy from Clarkston.
The woman, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was taken to the hospital, where she later died of her injuries.
The boy, who was wearing his seatbelt, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The office says alcohol may have been a factor in the crash. The Oakland County Sheriff's Crash Reconstruction unit is investigating the incident.
