Press Lauded for Nation-Building
The national press plays a vital role in documenting Bahrain's progress and supporting its development goals, said the CEO of the National Communication Centre (NCC), Ahmed Khalid Al-Arifi, as the Kingdom marked Bahraini Press Day.
Al-Arifi described the press as a 'key partner' in the comprehensive development process, guided by the royal vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and bolstered by the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He extended his congratulations to Bahrain's media professionals, noting their contribution to shaping public opinion and chronicling national achievements with professionalism and a strong sense of identity.
Al-Arifi praised the message delivered by His Majesty the King on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day, calling it a reflection of the Bahraini press's responsible voice and growing role in a rapidly evolving media environment.
He added that the government's support for the sector is evident in initiatives like the Prime Minister's Press Award, which celebrates excellence and motivates journalistic innovation. These efforts, he said, have helped solidify the Bahraini press's presence and credibility.
