MHT CET 2025 Toppers: 14 candidates secure 100 percentile in the PCB group

MHT CET Result 2025: Fourteen students have secured perfect 100 percentile marks in the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test or MHT CET 2025 in the Physics, Chemistry and Biology or PCB group, the result of which was declared yesterday, June 17. Also Read: 3 city girls score 100 percentile in MHT-CET for sciences Overall, 3,01,072 students registered for the entrance test in the PCB group, of whom 2,82,734 appeared. The attendance was registered at 93.91 per cent. The exam for the PCB group was held from April 9 to April 17. The examination was conducted at 172 centres within Maharashtra and nine examination centres outside the state. New Delhi: Gold prices declined by Rs1,200 to Rs1,00,170 per 10 grams in the national capital on Tuesday due to continuous selling by jewellers and stockists in line with weak global trends, according to the All India Sarafa precious metal of 99.9 per cent purity had closed at Rs1,01,370 per 10 grams in the previous market session. Gold of 99.5 per cent purity dipped below the Rs1 lakh mark, by falling Rs1,100 to Rs99,450 per 10 grams. It had settled at Rs1,00,550 per 10 grams on Monday. "Gold corrected further as traders reevaluated the likelihood of a full-scale regional war between Israel and Iran. This shift follows reports suggesting that Iran is actively pursuing a diplomatic resolution to its escalating conflict with Israel. "The potential for a fragile truce has fostered a bearish sentiment among gold traders," Saumil Gandhi, Senior Analyst - Commodities at HDFC Securities, said. However, silver prices went up by Rs100 to Rs1,07,200 per kilogram on Tuesday. The white metal had ended at Rs1,07,100 per kg in the previous market close. Globally, spot gold was trading lower at $3,380.65 per ounce. Meanwhile, spot silver went up 0.44 per cent to $36.47 per ounce in the international markets.

TAIPEI: Taiwanese singer Jeffrey Kung has officially embarked on a new chapter in his life. China Press reported that last Tuesday, the 43-year-old and his Malaysian girlfriend, Eunice Jaymie Tan, tied the knot, having registered their marriage in Beverly Hills, United States, last year. The couple, who became engaged in March 2024, plans to celebrate their union with two wedding ceremonies later this year – one in Los Angeles and another in Putrajaya. Speaking to Taiwanese media, Kung, who was born in the US, shared that he met Tan online in 2023. Kung, known for his award-winning album 01, also recounted a humorous anecdote about how he informed his future father-in-law of his intention to propose to Tan in Bangkok, Thailand. He revealed that when he first sought his father-in-law's blessing, the latter responded, "I'm not sure yet." It transpired that her father was not questioning their relationship but was simply uncertain if Kung would genuinely go through with the proposal. Tan is reportedly a relative of the late IOI Group founder, Tan Sri Lee Shin Cheng. She holds a Master's degree in education from the University of Melbourne in Australia and has been working as a teacher for the past seven years.

On Tuesday (May 20), the 43-year-old revealed that he and his Malaysian girlfriend Eunice Jaymie Tan had registered their marriage in Beverly Hills, the United States, at the end of 2024. The couple, who got engaged in March last year, plans to celebrate their union with two wedding ceremonies later this year – one in Los Angeles and another in Putrajaya. Speaking to Taiwanese media, Kung, who was born in the US, said he met Tan online in 2023. Drawn to her beauty, he decided to take a chance by sending her a message on social media – a decision that led to the start of their relationship. Kung, known for his award-winning album 01 , also shared a funny story about how he told his future father-in-law of his plan to propose to Tan in Bangkok, Thailand. The musician revealed that when he first sought his father-in-law's blessing, the latter responded: 'I'm not sure yet.' Kung eventually decided to go ahead and propose in secret. It was only later, after Tan spoke to her father, that the misunderstanding was cleared up.
