These inexpensive electric bikes & trikes may make you feel like a kid again

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Do you miss the joy you felt when you were a little kid riding on your bicycle? Are your knees, hips, and areas of your back against the idea of you riding a bicycle again? If so, you might want to check out this list of ten electric bikes that can help you feel like a kid again. Imagine being able to pedal until your knee starts burning, then switching over to all-electric mode and coasting your way home? Because it's possible. You can get your exercise and have a back-up plan at the same time. And the best part is that you can buy the majority of these bikes for around $1K. Cybervelo claims to be the coolest Ebike on the market, and their 1000 Peak Ebike for adults can go up to 80 miles before needing a charge. It's perfect for your commute, a day at the beach, and you can even take on snow with this sassy little bike that's available in baby blue, pale pink, or white. And did we mention that it's less than $700? Lose you fear of hills with this 7-speed that can reach speeds of up to 25 MPH. You can also chose between pure electric mode, pedal assist, or classic bike mode–which is perfect if you're the forgot-to-charge-it type. This bike also has a five star rating on Amazon. The FREESKY 48V 23 AH Ebike is a 1500W electric mountain bike with full suspension. You'll get this off-road adult 7-speed Ebike for only $1099 on Amazon when you click the box for a $500 off coupon. And this bike is fast, too, reaching a top speed of 35 MPH. The 800 lumen headlight helps if you're out after dark, too. Charge the battery in 4-6 hours, and you're ready for another 45-90 miles—a number that is entirely dependent on where and how you drive. This Ebike can easily go off-road, but you'll need to wear a backpack if you intend to use this Ebike for light grocery shopping. Looking for a sporty, modern bicycle that can reach 25 MPG, make it up to 60 miles on one charge, and won't break the bank? The Viva ACE07 might be the bike for you! This bike is marked to sell at $699 and it's available in green-blue, dark blue, light gold, grey, and white. It has fat tires, too, if you're in to that sort of thing. VIVI has lines of off road, fat tire, commuter, and folding bikes, too. The Eahora Romeo Pro II isn't cheap when compared to other Ebikes, but it has a 100+ mile range, which is a game-changer if you're thinking about spending the day outdoors. The 3000W bicycle can reach up to 44 MPH, too. The bike frame is made of high-carbon steel and comes equipped with full suspension. You can even set the cruise control on this bad boy! And if the Romeo isn't your thing, check out the Juliet version? Check out this Romeo Pro II with a rear rack and basket, but expect to pay a little more than $1600. For a fun alternative to an Ebike, why not try out an electric trike? The Viribus TG1 Electric trike is a perfect grocery-getter. You can change between pedal assist, foot power, or fully electric as you scoot down the street, and the rear basket can haul up to 100 pounds! Expect to ride up to 31 miles before needing a fresh charge. And if you are going downhill with a strong tail-wind behind you, you can reach jaw-dropping speeds of 15-16 MPH. This trike is very practical, and so is the price of $664.99. This is the perfect electric bike for picking up littler in your neighborhood, and it costs considerably less than a golf cart! Viribus' motto is 'Redicscover the Joy of Exploration,' and with their affordable prices they really are bringing Ebikes and Etrikes to the masses. If you're looking for an all-terraine bike that's just as comfortable as it versatile, check out Puckipuppy's Labrador. The bike's dual suspension is easy on the hips, and the overall design is almost sexy. The Labrador's top speed is 28 MPH, and it can reach up to 80 miles on one charge. The handsome bike has hydraulic disc brakes, too. It can be yours for $1100, too. Mooncool's MLE Lilypelle Ebike for adults is a cutie-pie, but don't let looks fool you. It can reach up to 40 miles on one charge and it comes with a one-year warranty! A front basket and rear rack are perfect for light shopping, and the price tag isn't bad at $599. You have more color options available through Mooncool's website, though the bikes are a touch more expensive. This one isn't anywhere near the $1000 pricerange, but it's certainly an option for the busy couple with mild mobility issues who like to take a spin around the neighborhood every now and then. Maxfoot's MF33 Maxlandau 2-seater electric trycicle can get up to 85 miles on one charge and can hit a top speed of 20 MPH. The motor's in the rear on this contraption, which makes climbing hills easy. It will set you back $3300, though. But did we mention that it comes in yellow? Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc.
