Olivia Attwood 'frustrated' as ITV The Price of Perfection filming halted last minute

The second series of The Price of Perfection will see Olivia Attwood explore the world of cosmetic surgery and the reasons behind people's pursuit of physical perfection Olivia Attwood has shared her experience of an unexpected disruption while filming the new series of The Price of Perfection. The 34-year-old host is delving into the cosmetic surgery realm and what drives individuals to seek physical perfection once more. ‌ In one of the upcoming episodes, Olivia heads to Turkey to learn about a young woman's decision to have cosmetic surgery, but the shoot encountered unforeseen issues. ‌ While preparing to observe what she described as the "most complex procedure" she has ever witnessed, Olivia received disappointing news that the lead surgeon did not want the entire operation being filmed. Following back-and-forth conversations and phone calls, permission was granted for Olivia to witness only the final stages of the operation. This compromise left her feeling disillusioned, reports the Daily Star. Sharing her thoughts with journalists, Olivia said: "It was awful because obviously a lot goes into planning these shoots and we travelled all the way out there and there was so much involved in the research." She expressed concern by saying, "For myself, I was thinking this is a massive red flag. Is she going to be ok? Why have they after weeks and months of conversations suddenly changed their mind? There was a load of things that were going on in my mind at the time of possibilities why they reached that decision." Despite the upset, Olivia emphasised the importance of authenticity, stating: "It was frustrating but we decided to tell the story as it is because that is the reality of what happened. They did change their mind at the absolute final hour and we told that story in its truthfulness." ‌ In the upcoming second series of The Price of Perfection, Olivia delves into six distinct elements within the beauty industry: Weight Loss, Smile, Skin, Mummy Makeover, Men and Spending 100K and Counting. The audience will witness the Love Island icon and Loose Women panelist immerse herself among clients and clinicians, uncover the vast selection of treatments now on offer and even test some out personally, such as pioneering energy procedures to the purported benefits of salmon sperm injections. ‌ The new series welcomes reappearances from well-known personalities and extensive chats with stars including Lottie Moss, Kate Moss' younger sister and Chantelle Connelly from Geordie Shore. After Lottie, aged 27, was admitted to hospital following her use of Ozempic, presenter Olivia discloses that she was eager to grasp why Lottie resorted to this medication initially. ‌ Olivia confessed: "I was excited about a weight loss episode.. It's something that we just all hear about so much but actually I had very little understanding of how it actually works." She added: "It had a lot of press but I wanted to understand more about the detail behind it, why someone so petite would take Ozempic." Despite the tough conversation ahead, considering the potential criticisms Lottie might face, Olivia commended her candidness: "It's not an easy conversation to have when she knows she's probably going to receive a fair amount of backlash but she was really honest. It's important to have those conversations."
