Kyle Hendricks took the mound for Los Angeles and delivered a solid outing, going six innings while allowing four earned runs. More importantly, the win marked a significant milestone, the 100th win of his major league career.
The Angels posted a congratulatory message for their veteran pitcher, saying: "Congratulations to Kyle Hendricks on recording his 100th career win!"
The 35-year-old right-hander now holds a 3-6 record with a 5.40 ERA this season. His last win came on May 20 against the Athletics.
Los Angeles rallied from a 4-3 deficit in the fifth inning. Chris Taylor tied the game with a double that drove in Jo Adell, then Nolan Schanuel followed with a single to bring Taylor home and give the Angels the lead.

Hendricks' journey to 100 wins started when he was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the eighth round of the 2011 MLB Draft. He was traded in 2012 and made his big-league debut on July 10, 2014, with the Chicago Cubs. He played for the Cubs through the 2024 season, helping them win the 2016 World Series while leading the league in ERA that season.

Hendricks has four seasons with 11 or more wins, topped by the 16 he collected in 2016. He's coming off a rough final year with the Cubs, finishing 4-12 with a 5.92 ERA.
The Angels will wrap up their weekend series against the Mariners on Sunday before hosting the Athletics for a three-game set starting Monday night.
