RUSKIN, Fla. (WFLA) — A Ruskin man took home a $2 million top prize after he bought a winning scratch-off ticket at a gas station. The Florida Lottery announced Wednesday that 42-year-old Joel Miranda Roman claimed a top prize from the $2,000,000 100X CASHWORD scratch-off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. The Florida Lottery announced Thursday that Lary Pincince, 65, and Joan Gonzalez Tamarit, 26, claimed their prizes at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. Pincince bought his winning $2,000,000 100X CASHWORD scratch-off ticket at the Publix located at 5810 Seven Mile Drive in Wildwood. The store received a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket. BRADENTON, Fla. (WFLA) — A Bradenton man walked away with a $2 million win after buying a $10 scratch-off ticket. The Florida Lottery announced that 28-year-old Jesus Morales won the top prize by playing the $2,000,000 100X CASHWORD lottery scratch-off. Morales purchased his lucky ticket from Ellenton Quick Mart, located at 2413 U.S. Highway 301 North in Ellenton. He chose to receive his earnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,280,000. The $10 ticket offers more than $220 million in cash prizes, featuring eight top prizes of $2 million, according to the lottery headquarters. The odds of winning are 1-in-3.37. Since its inception, Florida Lottery scratch-offs have awarded more than $65.5 billion in prizes, and have generation nearly $20 billion for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund. The Florida Lottery recently celebrated a milestone— surpassing $48 billion of total contributions to enhance education in the state, sending more than one million students to college through the Bright Futures Scholarship Program.
