As summer solstice approaches, it's prime time for vacations and USA TODAY's 2025 10Best Readers' Choice Awards are filled with suggestions of great vacation spots. The awards for adventure tours include categories like best aerial adventure park, best boat tour, best fishing charter, best helicopter tour and best hot air balloon ride. Wisconsin's Lake Geneva Ziplines & Adventure Parks was voted one of the top 10 aerial adventure parks in the U.S. To determine the list, a panel of industry experts was invited to nominate their favorite points of interest and attractions across a wide range of categories. Editors selected a final set of nominees to be presented to the public for voting. The voting period lasted four weeks. Here's everything to know about Wisconsin's award-winning aerial adventure park: The park, at N3232 County Road H in Lake Geneva, has nine ziplines on its 100-acre property. The full tour, with stops at all nine ziplines, takes 2½ hours to complete. It includes dual line racing, five sky bridges and four spiral staircases. The fastest-moving zipline is 45 mph, and the longest zipline is 841 feet. There are also several other adventures available at the park, including a high ropes course, a climbing tower and a trail for hiking and biking. Wonders of Wildlife named America's best aquarium for seventh time
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Johnny Morris' Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium (WOW) has been voted 'America's Best Aquarium' by USA Today voters. According to a WOW press release, this is the seventh time the aquarium has received this recognition. California boat show is best in the nation, USA Today says. What makes it No. 1?
A California boat show is making a splash with USA Today readers. The publication recently named the 10 best boat shows in America as part of its 2025 10Best Readers' Choice Awards. The Newport Beach International Boat Show ranked No. 1. America's top boat shows offer 'a unique blend of nautical fun, education, and innovation, often featuring educational seminars, workshops, and engaging demos,' USA Today wrote in a May 7 article. Here's which California events made the list: The annual Newport Beach International Boat Show draws up to 20,000 attendees to Lido Marina Village each May. 'Attendees can explore a dazzling array of boats and equipment both in and out of the water,' USA Today said,' with more than 200 vessels on display. 'The Newport Beach International Boat Show turns a picturesque SoCal harbor into a European coastal experience each spring, with vessels ranging from family-friendly watercraft to mega yachts that would make James Bond jealous,' USA Today said. The Orange County boat show 'is more than just a showcase of the finest boats and yachts from today's top builders and brokerages,' organizers said on the event's website. 'It's a celebration of the Newport Beach lifestyle and all that it represents.' Only one other California boat show popped up on USA Today's list of the best American events for boat enthusiasts. The San Diego International Boat Show was No. 10 on the list. The annual Southern California event, which is typically held in June, features more than 150 vessels and 75 exhibitors. 'Entertainment, food, cocktails, activities, and exhibitions spread over both land and water give attendees plenty to see and do,' USA Today said. Morgantown's Ruby Summer Concert Series ranked among best in America
MORGANTOWN, (WBOY) — Looking to go to one of the best outdoor summer concert series in the country? The free Ruby Summer Concert Series in Morgantown was top-ranked in a recent list. The list of best outdoor concert series to attend this summer by USA Today's 10Best Readers' Choice Awards was published on May 21; Morgantown's series was ranked 3rd-best. The free concert series is meant to have something for everyone, from local artists to big-name acts. Located at the Hazel Ruby McQuain Amphitheater along the Monongahela River, the series kicks off on June 6. In recent years, big names including Smash Mouth and Plane White T's headlined the series, and in 2025, The Village People, Hinder, and Hoobastank are scheduled to perform. Some north central West Virginia pools push back opening dates 'We are incredibly grateful to all the fans, both near and far, who took the time to vote for us and who continue to show up year after year,' Vincent Kitch, Director of Arts and Cultural Development for the City of Morgantown, said in a press release.
