Boston 10K pro field to feature Boston Marathon champion Sharon Lokedi, American Olympians

'Winning the Boston Marathon is a highlight of my career so far,' said Lokedi in a release. 'I'm excited to return to Boston to race the 10K and relive the same feeling from the marathon.' Around 10,000 athletes are expected to race on June 22, with the course winding through Cambridge and the Back Bay. The route begins on Charles Street and crosses the Longfellow Bridge for an out-and-back and Memorial Drive before crossing back over the Harvard Bridge on Massachusetts Avenue. City centre road closed after sinkhole discovered

A busy road in Glasgow city centre has been closed after a sinkhole was discovered. Workers are carrying out an emergency sewer repair on St Vincent Street raised the alarm when they noticed a void had appeared in the eastbound carriageway outside the Scottish Power building. To allow this essential work to be carried out safely, the publicly-owned utility has been closed to all eastbound traffic on St Vincent Street between Newton Street and Elmbank Street. The cause of the sinkhole is not yet known, with the affected sewer located around four metres below the surface. A Scottish Water spokesperson said: 'We're working hard to investigate and fix this issue as quickly and safely as possible to help minimise disruption. 'We are also aware of upcoming events in the area, including the Lloyd's Tour of Britain Women cycle race this Sunday and the Men's 10K next weekend. We're in discussions with the organisers but both events are still expected to go ahead. 'We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding while we carry out this essential repair.' The 45th annual Bolder Boulder, one of the most popular 10k races in the world, starts on Monday The 45th annual Bolder Boulder, one of the most popular 10k races in the world, starts on Monday The 45th annual Bolder Boulder, one of the most popular 10k races in the world, starts on Monday More than 50,000 people took to the streets of Boulder on Monday for the 45th annual Bolder Boulder 10K, a Memorial Day tradition in Colorado that's grown into one of the largest road races in the country. Runners and walkers of all levels participated in the race, which began at 30th and Walnut streets and ended at the University of Colorado's Folsom Field. The race began in 1979 with about 2,700 participants. Since then, it's earned national recognition — Runner's World once called it "America's All-Time Best 10K." But the event is about more than just fitness. Held each year on Memorial Day, the race honors the men and women who died serving in the U.S. military. Monday's race began with the wheelchair division at 6:45 a.m. Spectators lined the course to cheer on friends, family, and thousands of others running, jogging or walking in the name of remembrance, community,y and athletic achievement. The annual Jane Tomlinson Run for All 10K race takes to the streets of Hull on 8 is a new route this year because of roadworks on the A63, meaning the race has been moved from its usual route around the city will now take place in east Hull, starting and ending at Hull Kingston Rovers' Craven Park stadium and following a route through East race starts at 09:30 BST.
