Dr Zaliha honoured with 3G leadership award for government sector in Brunei

LABUAN: Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories) Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa has been awarded the 3G Leadership Award for Government Sector (Individual) 2025 at the 10th Global Good Governance Awards (3G Awards) in Brunei Darussalam. Department of Federal Territories in a statement today said the prestigious award, evaluated by Cambridge IFA, recognises Dr Zaliha's leadership in strengthening governance practices that are ethical, inclusive, and citizen-centred within the federal territories. A total of 19 recipients from 15 countries were honoured at the event, which brought together prominent figures from government and corporate sectors worldwide, including representatives from Petronas Dagangan Bhd and Dubai Customs. The award was presented by Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department of Brunei Darussalam Datuk Seri Paduka Awang Mohd Riza Datuk Paduka Mohd Yunos, witnessed by Cambridge IFA chairman Prof Dr Humayon Dar. This international recognition reflects Malaysia's commitment, particularly in the Federal Territories, to advancing public sector governance reforms and supporting sustainable urban development aligned with the values of Malaysia Madani. The awards ceremony was part of the 2025 Global Good Governance Summit organised by Cambridge IFA in collaboration with Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University (UNISSA) and Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD), under the theme 'Transformative Governance for Health, Environment, and Community Sustainability". The 3G Awards are evaluated based on criteria including impact, transparency, innovation, and social responsibility, recognising individuals and organisations advocating for progressive and ethical governance. This recognition also serves as a catalyst for ongoing efforts to enhance value-based governance, in line with the aspiration of the federal territories to lead in progressive, citizen-focused governance. – Bernama
