Defender 110 Trophy Edition celebrates adventure heritage

Defender has unveiled the new 110 Trophy Edition, a special model designed to celebrate the marque's return to global adventure challenges. Alongside the new vehicle, the brand is also launching a fresh global competition—Defender Trophy—aimed at those who embrace adventure and conservation. Set to be offered in New Zealand in limited numbers, the new Defender 110 Trophy Edition is available in two heritage-inspired colours: Deep Sandglow Yellow and Keswick Green. These finishes are a nod to Defender liveries from past international events. Buyers can also opt for a Matte Protective Film, boosting off-road durability and paintwork protection. Gloss Black 20-inch wheels with All-Terrain tyres, dark rear scuff plates and black wheel arch protection add to the aesthetic. Trophy branding appears across the exterior and interior, including decals on the bonnet and C-pillar, rear badging, illuminated treadplates and laser-etched details on the exposed Cross Car Beam. Inside, the Defender Trophy Edition offers Ebony Windsor Leather upholstery and competition-themed detailing. To back up its adventurous intent, the Trophy Edition comes with a raft of expedition-ready accessories. These include a black expedition roof rack, deployable roof ladder, side-mounted gear carrier, raised air intake and classic mud flaps. The Trophy Edition also marks the launch of the new Defender Trophy competition, which will see participants from over 50 countries compete in three stages of training and off-road challenges, culminating in a 2026 global final in Africa, hosted in collaboration with conservation partner Tusk. Local availability and pricing for New Zealand will be announced in due course, but entry into the competition is by invitation only.
