University of Birmingham Dubai to offer 125 scholarships to mark its 125 years
The University of Birmingham Dubai will offer 125 scholarships to its ambitious students under the 125 Scholarship initiative, to celebrate 125 years of the institution. The university will award scholarships to 125 meritorious international students, including those from India. Students enrolling in September 2025 are eligible to apply for the scholarship. Students from both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across disciplines, including engineering, health, business, education, law, computer science, and life sciences, can apply for the internship. The awardees for the scholarship will be shortlisted based on academic merit. The University of Birmingham Dubai has announced the launch of its prestigious '125 Scholarship', which will cover approximately 50% of tuition fees for selected students. Designed to support 125 outstanding students, the initiative offers recipients a unique opportunity to pursue their education at the university's Dubai campus. According to an official release, the scholarship is a highly selective award available by invitation only, underscoring its exclusivity and focus on academic excellence. Speaking about the initiative, Professor Yusra Mouzughi, Provost of the University of Birmingham Dubai, said: 'We are proud to introduce the '125 Scholarship' as a tribute to 125 years of transformative education and ambitious research at the University of Birmingham. This initiative reflects our commitment to empowering changemakers who will contribute to the UAE's vision of a knowledge-based economy.' She further highlighted the institution's legacy, adding: 'What better way to celebrate 125 years than by enabling and empowering the changemakers of tomorrow in the UAE.' The UK campus of the university had announced a similar scholarship for postgraduate taught (PGT) Master's degrees starting in September 2025, offering funding amounts between £4,000 and £5,000. It offered over 50 scholarships based on academic excellence to eligible Indian students, with a deadline of September 2025 for sending such applications. It offered a £4,000 scholarship for international students and £5,000 for Indian students studying in the University for September 2025.
