Child dies two days after collision with skid steer in Mount Forest

The child had been riding a bicycle at a farm near Highway 6 and Sideroad 2 on Saturday. Just before 10 a.m., the bicycle collided with a skid steer. Ontario Provincial Police said the 12-year-old was then airlifted to a trauma hospital with critical injuries. They died there on Monday. OPP are still investigating the circumstances leading up to the collision.

12-year-old was fatally shot in Compton park; teenager arrested in slaying
A 17-year-old boy was arrested Sunday morning on suspicion of shooting and killing a 12-year-old child at a Compton park, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. On Friday, the younger boy was shot at Fig/Oleander Park, a small Compton city recreation area with a playground, near the intersection of Oris Street and Oleander Avenue. Authorities said a male wearing black clothing and a black ski mask had been spotted running from the area. Investigators collected evidence and identified the teenager as their suspect, and a judge issued an arrest warrant. Law enforcement officers arrested him about 10 a.m. Sunday and booked him at a sheriff's station on suspicion of homicide. He was taken to a juvenile detention facility. The victim was treated by Compton Fire paramedics at the scene and then transported to a hospital where doctors later pronounced him dead. Teen arrested in fatal shooting of 12-year-old at Compton playground
Authorities have announced the arrest of a 17-year-old boy in connection with the shooting death of a 12-year-old boy at a Compton playground. The shooting unfolded Friday around 4 p.m. in the 2100 block of Oris Street near Fig/Oleander Park, located at Fig Street and Oleander Street, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. The boy was taken to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center where he was declared dead sometime after arrival. While investigating, authorities said they were able to "positively identify the subject," the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said. The individual, described as a 17-year-old boy, was taken into custody Sunday and booked on suspicion of murder. Anyone with information about this case was asked to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.

What we know Police were called to the 1500 block of East Pastorius Street Saturday, just after 12:30 p.m., on the report of a person with a gun. Responding officers found a 12-year-old boy had been shot in the side of his body when they arrived. Police rushed him to Einstein Medical Center where he died a short time later. Dig deeper Philadelphia Police Inspector D.F. Pace said other people were in the home at the time of the shooting and two other teens, one 15 and one 17, were with the victim at the time of the shooting. He went on to say the victim did not live in the home and that everyone was being questioned. What we don't know No details have been released regarding possible motives. The entire park was surrounded by crime tape as investigators surveyed the scene. It's unclear when the area would be reopened to the public.
