1350 Distilling announces closure
(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A popular Colorado Springs distillery has announced its closure effective Sunday, June 8.
1350 Distilling announced on Facebook that it would be closing its doors permanently on Sunday. The distillery opened in 2019, and since its inception, has dedicated much of its resources to honoring the nation's military.
'One of our primary goals was to give back to our community,' said Phillip Bragg, Co-Founder and Head Distiller of 1350 Distilling. 'Over our five years of operation, we raised over $20,000 for local nonprofits, and provided thousands of dollars of product in like-kind-donations and services.'
Anyone who visited the tasting room on Pikes Peak Avenue could admire its Wall of Honor–over 50 portraits and artist renderings of loved ones who served in the military.
'This decision was not made lightly,' said Jake Weien, Co-Founder of 1350 Distilling. 'We are incredibly grateful to our loyal customers, employees, and partners who have supported us throughout this journey. Together, we built something special, and we'll always cherish the memories and relationships made here.'
Until the doors close for good, 1350 Distilling will be offering special discounts on all remaining inventory. On Saturday, June 7, the previously scheduled Dude Fair will take place with vendors, and the distillery will be offering operational items for sale, including barrels, furniture, decorations, equipment, and other miscellaneous items.
The distillery invites the community to come out and raise a glass to the legacy of 1350. It is located at 520 E Pikes Peak Ave., and will be open Saturday from 2 p.m. – 10 p.m. and Sunday noon – 5 p.m.
