Who won the 1997 Masters?
Tiger Woods becomes the youngest Masters winner and sets records for lowest 72-hole total and widest victory margin. The then-21-year-old finished at 18 under, a mark that wouldn't be matched again for nearly 20 years. Woods became the first player in Masters history to reach 18 under. It was also the first of 24 consecutive made cuts, which is a streak that continues to this day, the longest of all-time. It was Tiger's first start as a pro at Augusta National. He also started in 40, the highest start by an eventual champion ever.
