Yemen MP Al-Hagri: We Are Fighting an Existential Battle to Protect the Republic and All Yemenis Against the Houthi

The head of the Yemeni Reform Party's parliamentary bloc, Abdul-Razzaq Al-Hagri, has strongly condemned the Houthi militia's actions in Yemen, describing them as a threat to the country's stability and security. Speaking at the 19th Conference of the Union of Parliaments of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states, Al-Hagri emphasized that the Houthi militia is backed by Iran and has committed numerous atrocities against the Yemeni people. He called on the international community to take concrete steps to stop the Houthi militia's aggression and hold them accountable for their crimes. Al-Hagri also urged OIC member states to exert pressure on the international community to end the Israeli aggression against Palestine, Lebanon, and Yemen. The Yemeni MP highlighted the suffering of the Yemeni people under Houthi rule, including the killing of thousands of civilians, displacement, and destruction of infrastructure. He also condemned the Houthi militia's recruitment of children and exploitation of humanitarian aid. Al-Hagri expressed support for the Egyptian plan to rebuild Gaza and praised the Arab and Islamic stance against Israeli aggression. He concluded by thanking the Indonesian government and parliament for hosting the conference and wished success for the Union of Parliaments of the OIC member states.
