Today on Pinstripe Alley - 5/25/25
I know I've said this in other spaces already, but that's much more like it. After Friday's deeply annoying loss to Colorado—just the Rockies' ninth win of the entire season—and only one run in the first four innings yesterday against Kyle Freeland, the Yankees finally got back on track in yesterday's fifth inning. Nothing like a good ol' 10-spot on the scoreboard to make you not only breathe a sigh of relief, but laugh a bit, too. Job's not finished after the blowout though! The 9-43 Rockies still have a chance to win their first series of the year today and the 31-20 Yanks can't let that happen. Go go Bombers go.
Today on the site, Estevão will look at the late-season benefits of Luke Weaver at closer, Matt will run through the Rivalry Roundup, and Jake will present today's edition of the 2000 Yankees Diary. Later, Matt will take a page from his most recent Diary entry and look back at other occasions when the Yankees got rolled by someone in his MLB debut, and John will explore this week's Social Media Spotlight.
