Conference Cumbria 2025 to feature panel of young entrepreneurs

More than 300 innovators, leaders, and experts are expected to attend the flagship conference Cumbria event. Taking place on October 2 at the Derwent Pencil Museum, the 2025 conference is themed 'Make It Happen,' featuring discussions on action, seizing opportunities, overcoming challenges, and building successful businesses through entrepreneurship, leadership, and teamwork. The headline speaker for this year is Sara Davies MBE, and the 2025 conference will involve a dedicated panel focusing on emerging talent. The panel includes Clyne Albertelli, the MD of Co-Lab Engineering; Oliver Hodgson, founder and MD of Platinum Live; Lou Kneath, co-founder and CEO of +3K Animation Studios; Georgina Goulding, founder of Bakes by Gina; and Luke Jackson, founder of Stoked Adventures. They will share their entrepreneurial journeys with the audience, offering practical insights and advice. "Their drive, creativity, and resilience perfectly capture the spirit of our theme – Make It Happen." Albertelli, the MD of Co-Lab Engineering, is a serial entrepreneur with a background in the engineering and nuclear sector. He has raised almost £1 million in funding and specialises in delivering innovative technology projects. Hodgson, at just 21, is an award-winning entrepreneur and media personality. As founder and managing director of Platinum Live, he runs a communication agency that works with major brands on PR, social media, and live events. Kneath leads an award-winning animation studio with projects for SkyKids, global brands, and international broadcasters. She recently served on the 2024 British Animation Awards jury. Goulding, founder of Bakes by Gina, launched her business in 2021 after leaving civil engineering. She currently runs a successful café and business and recently won the 2024 Mitie Business Boost competition. Jackson, an adventure coach and mountain leader, assists business leaders in overcoming both mental and physical barriers. With experience in running businesses and tackling endurance challenges, he takes entrepreneurs into the mountains to find clarity and direction. The Young Entrepreneurs Panel will occur on the morning of the conference, discussing themes such as innovation, resilience, and leadership. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn from the candid insights offered by panelists. Lesley Robinson, head of business support, said: "Paired with insights from our other speakers and event headliner Sara Davies, this promises to be our most exciting Conference Cumbria to date."
