Internet Can't Cope As Kevin Costner's 'Persistent' Dog Goes Viral

A video of Kevin Costner's dog and the pup's adorable way of "working" the Hollywood actor to get what he wants has melted the hearts of users on TikTok.
The short clip shared from Costner's official TikTok account (@kevincostner) has amassed 8.9 million views and over 725,000 likes since it was posted on April 19.
The video shows the Hollywood actor sitting on a couch with a laptop, while his dog Bob is sitting beside him holding a food bowl in his mouth.
"You're hungry?" Costner asks the pup, adding, "I know, but I'm trying to work here, okay? By the way, I fed you about 45 minutes ago."
"Bob, I fed you," Costner continues, as the pup is shown pacing around the couches and circling back towards his owner, with the food bowl still in his mouth.
"45 minutes ago I fed you," the actor reminds the canine, noting "So walking around like a beggar is not helping."

A pup's insatiable nature when it comes to food could be down to genetics, according to a Cambridge University study in May 2016 in Cell Metabolism.
Eleanor Raffan, a co-author of the study, noted: "There is some hard-wired biology behind that persistent food-seeking behavior," The Guardian reported at the time of the study's release.
The study found that some labradors have a mutation in their DNA that could predispose them to weight gain.
According to the study, among the dog breeds for which data have been reported, labrador retrievers were found to have "the greatest documented obesity prevalence and have been shown to be more food motivated than other breeds."
The study found that a deletion in the pro-opiomelanocortin (POMC) gene was "associated with increased body weight, adiposity, and food motivation in both labrador retrievers and the closely related flat-coat retrievers."
'The Look'
Costner later says in the video "Come here, sit down," beckoning Bob to come closer and the dog is shown sitting in front of him.
"A small snack?" the actor asks, before telling the camera, "He's working me, he's totally working me, as the dog continues to stare back at him before the clip ends.

TikTok users were delighted by the pup's adorable response and interaction with Costner in the viral clip.
"Beautiful pup is persistent and that's a fact," said LoriTexas2805, while @amandahannah3 said "how can you say no to his wee face xxx."
User t.r.k.24 wrote: "45 mins in dog math is two days ago. Bob needs a snack Kevin."
Lisa-b-1974 noted "The look he gave u lol" and Patty B said "Poor puppy. He's starving!"
Trisha Coonce added: "I genuinely never thought anything could make me mad at Kevin here we are. That baby is clearly STARVING."
"Bob not even realizing his dad is Kevin Costner," noted Toni and Sush agreed, saying "Bob has no idea he lives with Kevin Costner. What a life?!"
Carlie Paco said: "Bob caught my attention so much I didn't even realize it was Kevin Costner."

Costner has been posting on TikTok since February 2023, when he shared a video of him opening a package containing a golden globe he won for his performance as John Dutton in the TV drama Yellowstone.
The actor rose to prominence in the late 1980s and 1990s, with roles in movies including JFK and The Bodyguard. His most recent movie role was in 2020, when he starred in the thriller Let Him Go.
