Liek Hou Seals Double Gold At Asia Para Badminton Championships
KUALA LUMPUR, June 22 (Bernama) – Malaysia's para badminton superstar Cheah Liek Hou showed once again why he's the world number one, pulling off a sensational double victory at the 2025 Asia Para Badminton Championships in Korat, Thailand today.
Liek Hou, competing in the SU5 (upper limb impairment) category, was in fiery form as he clinched the men's singles title, outlasting his arch-rival from Indonesia, Dheva Anrimusthi, in a thrilling three-set showdown, 21-19, 15-21, 21-18, with the match lasting 58 minutes.
The two-time Paralympic gold medallist wasn't done yet. He then teamed up with Muhammad Fareez Anuar in the men's doubles SU5, delivering a commanding performance to defeat India's Hardik Makkar and Ruthick Ragupathi in straight sets 21-14, 21-8.
