Princess Charlene of Monaco in Prada, Queen Rania of Jordan in Alaïa and More Royals in Somber Attire for Pope Francis' Funeral Ceremony in Vatican City

Several dignitaries, former and sitting politicians and more attended the somber funeral services of Pope Francis on Saturday in Vatican City. Pope Francis served as the head of the Catholic Church from 2013 until his death on April 21, 2025. He was 88 years old. Among the guests who attended the funeral services, former First Lady of the United States Jill Biden, France's First Lady Brigitte Macron and current U.S. First Lady Melania Trump paid their respects. Princess Charlene of Monaco opted for a Prada cady midi dress for her attire to the funeral on Saturday. The royal coordinated her ensemble with sheer black tights, pointed toe heels and carried the Small Brushed Leather Tote by Prada. Queen Rania of Jordan wore a cropped twill jacket from Alaïa, along with a flowing, high-waisted skirt by Dior. She also wore heels by Christian Louboutin. Queen Letizia of Spain wore a black midi dress for Saturday's services. The Spanish royal added touches to her look, including a Carolina Herrera bag, Nina Ricci heels and Boss sunglasses. Queen Mary of Denmark wore a coordinated blazer and skirt courtesy of Andiata on Saturday in Vatican City. The Danish royal also wore Gianvito Rossi heels and carried a bag courtesy of Mulberry, a London-based brand. Queen Mathilde of Belgium wore a black ensemble for the somber occasion on Saturday. She added such pieces as a pair of Gianvito Rossi heels and Gucci sunglasses to her attire. Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway wore a black dress along with suede heels by Manolo Blahnik and carried a clutch by Bottega Veneta.
