Ross Chastain wins the 2025 Coca-Cola 600, full results
The NASCAR Cup Series arrived at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the 2025 Coca-Cola 600 and didn't disappoint. William Byron won the first three stages, and while the No. 24 car looked unbeatable, other drivers, such as Denny Hamlin and Carson Hocevar, caught up in the speed department. However, it was none of these three drivers that pulled off a victory in NASCAR's second Crown Jewel event of 2025.
Ross Chastain and the No. 1 team for Trackhouse Racing won the 2025 Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte, earning their first victory of the Cup Series season. Chastain's No. 1 car came alive at night and tracked down Byron in the closing laps. The Trackhouse Racing driver was faster than Byron, and when the Hendrick Motorsports driver made a mistake, he pounced with six laps to go.
Chastain, who started last after wrecking in practice, had great speed on Saturday but wasn't able to display his talent until Sunday. The driver of the No. 1 car failed to make the 2024 NASCAR playoffs, but that won't be the case this year. Instead, Chastain has clinched a spot in the 16-driver field and won his first Crown Jewel event in NASCAR.
