Rayvon Griffith is leaving Cincinnati Bearcats basketball in the transfer portal after two seasons. Dan Skillings Jr. was gone by Monday morning and by lunchtime, Rayvon Griffith had departed Cincinnati Bearcats basketball in the transfer portal. Griffith, who led Taft High School to an Ohio Division III state championship in 2022, spent two seasons with the Bearcats. Rayvon Griffith entered the transfer portal Monday, April 7. He leaves the Cincinnati Bearcats after two seasons. Griffith posted on Instagram: Advertisement "I want to take time to thank all of the coaches and I also want to thank all of my teammates. These past two years have been a movie. Cincinnati will always be home and will always have a special place in my heart. With that being said, I will be entering my name in the transfer portal and exploring a different path and follow God's footsteps. Of the recent transfers from Cincinnati Bearcats basketball, Josh Reed is the first to have found a landing spot. Reed's agents confirmed to On3 Sports that the lefthander will take his game to the Big Ten and Penn State. As a junior this past season for Wes Miller and UC, Reed made his way to the starting lineup in nine of the last 10 games (only stepping aside on Senior Night vs. Kansas State). He finished the season averaging 4.8 points per game and 2.5 rebounds while shooting 85% from the free throw line, 41% from the field and 31% from the perimeter. He played in 33 of UC's 35 games. Cincinnati Bearcats football loses former Colerain player Safety Ken Willis, a redshirt junior standing 5-foot-11 and weighing 190 pounds has announced his intention to enter the college football transfer portal which begins April 16. Willis is a former three-star recruit from Colerain where he played with Dontay Corleone, Eric Phillips and Ivan and Deshawn Pace, all future Bearcats. Former McDonald's All-American Dillon Mitchell will not be back for a second stint with Cincinnati Bearcats basketball after transferring from Texas last spring. The 6-foot-8, 210-pound Mitchell was UC's fourth-leading scorer at 9.9 points per game and led the team in rebounding with 6.9 per game. His shooting was money inside at 61%, but streaky from the 3-point line at 29% and free throw stripe at 40%. Advertisement Mitchell averaged 9.6 points and 7.5 rebounds at Texas in his sophomore season and 4.3 points and 3.9 rebounds as a freshmen. He started all but one game for the Longhorns and started every game this past season for the Bearcats.
