Weddings are often remembered for their grand decor, heartfelt vows, or spectacular dance performances. But at one particular celebration, it wasn't the bride or groom who stole the spotlight — it was a massive rhinoceros. Some speculated that the wedding venue must have been near a national park, with one noting, 'When your wedding is too close to the jungle, this is what you get.' The jokes kept coming: 'Maybe he was looking for the dance floor,' someone said. Another added, 'The real VIP has arrived.' A viewer commented, 'Hope they had a return gift ready for him,' while another observed, 'That rhino clearly didn't get the memo about formal attire.' One user remarked, 'Imagine being the DJ and trying to keep the vibe going during that!' while another simply posted, 'New fear unlocked: wildlife crashing my wedding.'

‘Wild card entry': Rhino crashes wedding venue in Nepal, video goes viral

A wedding in Nepal took an unexpected and wild turn when a rhinoceros made an entry. The incident happened in a village near the edge of Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is known for its rich biodiversity and is home to over 600 greater one-horned rhinos. The viral video shared on Instagram shows the surprising moment the one-horned rhinoceros wandered into a wedding reception. The rhino calmly strolls through a beautifully decorated garden area, aglow with lights and other festive decorations. As the video continues, a child is seen running away upon spotting the rhino, while another man captures the scene on his phone as the huge animal makes its way into the venue. Interestingly, the rhino avoids the area where most of the wedding guests are gathered, wandering instead towards a quieter, less crowded section of the venue. Sharing the video, the Instagram handle @nepalinlast24hr wrote, 'Chitwan's harmony between humans and rhinos continues to surprise the world.' Watch here: A post shared by NEPAL IN LAST 24 HR (@nepalinlast24hr) The video garnered nearly 2 million views, with several social media users leaving hilarious reactions in the comment section. 'That's called 'wild' card entry,' a user wrote. 'Sasural GENDA phool,' another user commented, referring to the popular song from the Bollywood movie Delhi 6. 'Very well behaved rhino. Good parenting by rhino parents,' a third user reacted. 'Now wedding photographers become wildlife photographers,' a fourth user chimed in. In February, a leopard gate-crashed a wedding ceremony in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow, leaving the couple trapped in a car for hours. According to PTI, the bride and groom fled the scene and locked themselves inside a car for safety. The forest department and the police responded to an SOS alert, launching a search operation that lasted nearly five hours. The leopard was eventually found on the first floor of the venue, hiding inside a room.
