Dumfries care home worker receives long service award after working at Lochduhar Care Home for 25 years

Margaret Murdoch started working at Lochduhar in May 2000 as a carer before moving to work in the activities team . An activities co-ordinator at Lochduhar Care Home in Dumfries has received a prestigious 25 Year Service Award from Barchester Healthcare. Margaret Murdoch started working for Barchester in May 2000. She originally joined the team at Lochduhar as a carer before moving to work in the activities team. Margaret has worked tirelessly with residents and their relatives to ensure that their needs have been successfully met over the years. ‌ Adele Keenan, employee services director at Barchester, said: 'I'm always pleased to hear stories about the long service of Barchester staff and am delighted that Margaret has achieved this milestone. It is dedication like this that ensures our residents are provided with a happy place to live.' Gillian Ward, general manager of Lochduhar, said: 'We're delighted to be celebrating 25 years of loyal service with Margaret. She has demonstrated her dedication and loyalty to this home and its residents year after year. I speak for all of us here at Lochduhar when I say that I'm looking forward to many more years of working with Margaret'.
