‘KCR Is God, But There Are Demons Around Him': K Kavitha On How Her Letter Was Leaked

Last Updated: K Kavitha's six-page letter dated May 2 to her father and BRS chief KCR surfaced, creating political storm in Telangana. She has now questioned how her letter was leaked in public. Hours after her private letter to KCR surfaced, creating a political storm in Telangana, MLC K Kavitha on Friday questioned how the letter to her father, who is also the BRS chief, was leaked in public. She claimed that while KCR was 'god", he was surrounded by 'demons" who were damaging the party from within. Calling the leak a 'conspiracy", she said that in the letter she had only expressed in words what others in the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and the state think. K Kavitha's Letter Controversy Her remarks came after a six-page letter dated May 2 surfaced, in which she expressed deep frustration with the party leadership's strategy. In the letter, she had accused her father of barely criticising the BJP during the party's 25th Foundation Day meeting in Warangal. The personal letter was written after the Warangal public meeting and was never meant for public circulation. Speaking to reporters upon her return from the US, she said that the letter was made public while she was attending her son's graduation in America. 'Two weeks ago, I wrote a letter to KCR. In the past, I have expressed my opinions to KCR many times through letters. I recently said that conspiracies and machinations are going on. Now that the letter has been made public, everyone in the party needs to think about what is happening. I have said what people at all levels in the party think, almost half of the people of Telangana think. I have no personal agenda in this. I personally have no hatred or love for anyone," she said. Kavitha Says 'KCR Surrounded By Demons' She stressed there is a need to investigate who is behind the leak of her personal letter and claimed that there are 'demons" in the party who are harming it from within. 'If the letter written to our party leader has been made public, who is behind it? Need to think about it. KCR is God. But there are demons around KCR… They are causing damage. If the letter written by me, KCR's daughter, has come out, what is the condition of other common people in the party? This needs to be discussed," she said. She also made it clear that KCR will remain their leader and said that Telangana will prosper under his leadership. 'If we discuss and correct the minor flaws in the party and move forward, the party will be cool for ten terms. The Congress and the BJP parties have failed… KCR's leadership is the alternative to them," she said. Congress MLA Adi Srinivas said the letter proves what the Congress has been saying—that BRS and BJP are secretly working together and that there are clear cracks within the ruling party. The letter came at a time when her brother, KT Rama Rao, was stepping up to lead the BRS as its working president, while their father, KCR, seemed content to step back from an active role. ‘Daddy, Will You Stay Soft On BJP That Troubled Me?': K Kavitha's Letter To KCR Sparks Political Storm

Last Updated: Kavita stated that KCR's soft approach towards the BJP has sparked speculation about a potential alliance. Telangana politics has been thrown into turmoil after BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavita penned a strongly-worded letter to her father and party leader K. Chandrashekhar Rao, criticising his soft stance towards the BJP, which she claims has harassed her. In a six-page letter dated May 2, BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavita expressed deep frustration with the party's direction and leadership strategy. Kavita accused KCR of barely criticising the BJP during the party's 25th Foundation Day meeting in Warangal, speaking for just two minutes about their primary rival. Kavita stated that KCR's soft approach towards the BJP has sparked speculation about a potential alliance. She also warned that public trust in the Congress is dwindling, and people are beginning to see the BJP as an alternative — something the BRS must urgently counter. Kavita further criticised KCR's inaccessibility, noting that even senior leaders and grassroots representatives like ZPTC and Zilla Parishad chairpersons are unable to meet him, which has left the party cadre demoralised and disconnected. advetisement Kavita's letter also criticised the execution of the Warangal meeting, specifically KCR's speech, which she said omitted key issues like the Wakf Bill, 42 per cent BC reservations, and SC categorisation. She questioned the reliance on old in-charges who allegedly failed to capture the spirit of the Telangana movement and accused them of lobbying for tickets in the upcoming local body elections. Kavita questioned why long-standing loyalists, who have been part of BRS since 2001, were denied a voice on such a significant occasion. Yet, amid her disappointment, Kavita acknowledged a few positives — including the energy of the public meeting, the mention of Operation Kagar, and the calculated decision to avoid naming Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The Congress has capitalised on Kavita's letter, using it to highlight internal divisions within the BRS and its supposed ties to the BJP. Although KCR hasn't officially responded, the letter has fueled speculation about Kavita's plans, including potential splits, starting a new party, or pushing for internal reforms. The letter came at a time when her brother and party working president KT Rama Rao was taking over the mantle of the BRS, while her father was content with taking a backseat. First Published:
