Taiwan Dollar Hits Three-Year High on Trade Optimism, Exporters
Taiwan's dollar rallied to the strongest level in three years on global stock inflows, exporters' sales of the greenback and easing trade tensions.
The local currency gained as much as 0.5% on Friday to 29.5 per dollar, the strongest since June 2022, amid foreign equity inflows and buoyant Asian FX performance amid signs of easing trade tensions. It took out the level hit in early May, the day it surged the most since 1988.
