J-Hope Looks Startled As Police Pull Over His Car Post-Concert In Taipei
Last Updated: After his "Hope on the Stage" concert in Taipei, BTS rapper J-Hope was stopped at a DUI checkpoint while streaming live. After his 'Hope on the Stage" concert in Taipei, BTS rapper J-Hope had an unexpected run-in with local police. He was in his car heading back to the hotel, streaming a live session with fans on Weverse, when the vehicle was pulled over. In the live stream, J-Hope could be seen trying to understand the situation as the driver conversed with the police in a different language. He looked both puzzled and concerned about the sudden stop. According to a translation by the driver told the officer, 'He's a celebrity." The officer then asked if J-Hope was a customer, to which the driver confirmed his celebrity status. The officer responded, 'Celebrity, ok. You can go." When J-Hope inquired about the incident, the driver explained it was a DUI checkpoint. J-Hope responded, 'Oh, checking for DUIs? They do that here, too? That's cool." During the live session, J-Hope also discussed his concert. Translated by @BTStranslation_, he started by saying, 'The hotel is far, so I thought why not go live in this duration. I could come to Taipei just for traveling; there's so much delicious food." When a fan asked about his knee, he reassured them, 'They're alright, you don't have to worry! I'm taking good care of myself." Another fan mentioned missing his dog Mickey, to which J-Hope responded, 'Mickey needs to be healthy, but he is not very healthy these days… be healthy, Mickey!! Let's live long!!" When a fan complimented his English, he modestly replied, 'Not good." Another fan called his English 'very cute," and he agreed. J-Hope concluded the live session by reflecting on his time in Taipei and mentioning his next stop: 'Taipei was really fun, and now I'll go to Osaka. The Osaka venue is big, so I need to rehearse as well. There's so much to do." He expressed his gratitude to fans before signing off. J-Hope's tour is scheduled to wrap up in June. Looking ahead, Jin and J-Hope will soon reunite with RM, Suga, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook, as the latter are set to be discharged from the military next month. Jin and J-Hope completed their military service last year. BTS debuted in 2013 with the single album 2 Cool 4 Skool. First Published:
