Drink driving charge after motorhome crash at Wetherby Services
A man has been charged with drink driving after a motorhome crashed into a bollard at a motorway service driver was reported to be drunk at Wetherby Services on Monday, and drove off in the Fiat Swift campervan after being refused Yorkshire Police said analysis of CCTV tracked down the vehicle on the A61 travelling towards Ripon, where it was stopped.A 32-year-old man from Newcastle has been charged with driving whilst over the prescribed alcohol limit and a number of other offences. Police said the man was also wanted on warrant after failing to appear at Newcastle Magistrates' Court on 16 July last year regarding a serious assault is due to appear before Harrogate Magistrates' Court on 26 June where he is also charged with driving otherwise in accordance with a licence, failing to stop/report a road traffic collision, driving without due care and attention and using a vehicle in a dangerous condition. Cocaine bust at traffic stop
A routine R.I.D.E. stop in Huntsville netted officers a cocaine bust with a wanted man. The vehicle that drove up to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) checkpoint at 3:26 a.m. Monday, had a suspended driver at the wheel. The other man inside the car was wanted on a warrant and a woman passenger was discovered carrying drugs. The threesome was arrested and charged with: A 53-year-Huntsville man with possession of cocaine and driving while under suspension. A 32-year-old Huntsville man faces possession charges, and a 42-year-old woman faces possession and failing to comply with a probation order. The accused were all released from police custody and are to attend court at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on June 17.
