Tunisian Foreign Minister Visits Saudi Pavilion at Tunis Book Fair

Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohamed Nafti visited on Friday the Saudi Arabia's Pavilion at the 39th Tunis International Book Fair. Minister Nafti was welcomed by the Saudi Ambassador to Tunisia, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ali Al-Saqr. The Tunisian minister was briefed on exhibits, including the pavilion of the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, viewing its latest publications on Arab and international security, SPA reported. He also visited the pavilions of the King Salman Complex for the Arabic Language, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Islamic Affairs.

China-Tunisia civilization exchange forum held in Tunis

TUNIS, April 26 (Xinhua) -- The China-Tunisia Civilization Exchange Forum was held in Tunis on Saturday, drawing together 150 Chinese and Tunisian experts and scholars from the cultural, publishing, and academic fields. Culture is one of the most important driving forces for the development of the partnership between the two countries, said Mohamed Salah Kadri, director of the 39th Tunis International Book Fair, which is being held from April 25 to May 4. He added that Tunisia looks forward to further exchanges with China in film, drama, plastic arts, intellectual properties, and copyright in the future. Huang Zhijian, the chairman of China Publishing Group, said it means a lot to China and Tunisia to listen to each other and discuss the exchange and mutual learning of civilizations. China attaches importance to exchanges between different countries and civilizations, he said. During the forum, experts and scholars discussed topics such as "Chinese modernization and South-South cooperation" and "China-Tunisia cultural exchanges and publishing cooperation."

TUNIS, April 25 (Xinhua) -- The 39th Tunis International Book Fair kicked off here on Friday, with China as the guest of honor, presenting a diverse collection of Chinese publications. The Chinese pavilion offers a curated selection of books that showcase China's rich traditional culture, and important translations that highlight China-Africa and China-Arab cultural exchanges. Key works by Chinese President Xi Jinping, including "Xi Jinping: The Governance of China" and "Selected Readings from the Works of Xi Jinping," were also on display. Tunisian President Kais Saied visited the Chinese pavilion, where he expressed strong support for the concept of building a community with a shared future for mankind proposed by Xi. He noted the long-standing cooperation between the two nations, underlined the bright prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation under the framework of jointly building the Belt and Road Initiative, and emphasized Tunisia's commitment to further promoting cooperation with China in various fields such as culture and economy and trade. Running from April 25 to May 4, the fair also includes forums, cultural events, and panel discussions featuring renowned Chinese authors, poets, and scholars.
