SIPITANG: The 2025 Borneo Traditional Archery League will be held from May 31 to June 1 at Tasek Naga and Sipitang Sports Complex. The event, organised by various agencies and non-governmental organisations (NGOs), offers attractive prizes for the winners. The organising team Badang Team's spokesperson said the competition will begin on May 31 with the Field Archery event in the morning, followed by the 3D Night Hunting event in the evening. On June 1, the Descending Arrow Borneo event will take place. The tournament offers a grand prize of RM3,000 for the champion of the Traditional Archery category. Cash prizes will also be awarded to top three winners of the Field Archery and 3D Night Hunting events. Similarly, top three winners of the Descending Arrow category will receive cash prizes. In addition, the organisers will provide medals and certificates of achievement for participants placing first to fifth, as well as those placing sixth to tenth in each category.
Advertisement For the Field Archery event on May 31, registration and bow inspection will open at 7.30am. The official opening ceremony will begin at 8am and the competition will commence at 9am. The prize-giving ceremony is scheduled for 4.30pm. In the evening, the 3D Night Hunting event will begin with registration and bow inspection at 7pm and the prize-giving is expected to take place at 11pm. On June 1, the Descending Arrow Borneo event will begin with registration and bow inspection from 7am. The closing ceremony will be held at 4pm.
