FRAMA Introduces the Petit Rond Series at 3daysofdesign

Copenhagen-based brandFRAMAtook to the Danish city's 3daysofdesign festival to unveil the latest addition to its seating assortment, the Petit Rond series. Based on an original design by Troels Grum-Schwensen, the Petit Rond chairs and stools offer ergonomic comfort and sleek style with the slimmest profile possible. The line draws its name,'small circle' in French, from the literal small circle that forms the seat of the stainless steel chairs and stools. Characterized by a pared-back modernism and gentle human sensibility, the designer had initially created the seating for a café and gallery space adapted from a former industrial space on the island of Møn in south-eastern Denmark. Troels Grum-Schwensen approached the original concept with 'a commitment to finding points of balance between character and function,' rather than compromising the design's integrity. The brand notes that among the strongest qualities is the careful positioning of the back and seat, which offers the user optimal support. Depending on the desired end use, FRAMA has offered each piece with leather upholstered seats for added comfort and an organic touch. With its chrome materiality, the Petit Rond series expands on FRAMA's popular assortment of stainless steel and aluminum-based furniture and decor. Among the label's signature collections is the Rivet Series, featuring aluminum case goods in striking geometric shapes. Depending on the desired end use, FRAMA is also offering each Petit Rond piece with leather upholstered seats for added comfort and an organic touch. See the gallery above for a closer look at FRAMA's Petit Rond collection. Shop the collection now at the brand's officialweb store.

Muuto Wants You To Go Skygazing More With the Dream View Bench

Set to be unveiled at Copenhagen's3daysofdesign,Muutoand Danish designer Lise Vester have designed the Dream View Bench, a curvaceous steel seat designed for ergonomic skygazing. Vester started the design by mapping her posture in the sand of a beach, and translating the shape to styrofoam. After testing the design with people of various ages and heights, the designer refined the shape to find the most comfortable design for looking at the sky. Made in Denmark, the Dream View Chair is available in single 60cm seats and 100cm two-seaters for a shared experience. The chair's reflective materiality refracts surrounding hues in the chair's undulating curves, creating not only a functional piece of furniture but also a modern statement suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Most notably, the piece becomes drenched with the colors of the open sky when placed outside, adding a striking visual element to the design. 'The sky remains ever-present – limitless and available to most, as long as we remember to look up. When we do, natural daylight, shifting colors, the moon, passing clouds, and birds suddenly feel within reach. This beauty – and these small moments of appreciation – are often overlooked in the rush of daily life. I wanted to create a design that draws the viewer's gaze upward, curating moments of focus and daydreaming while gazing,' Lise Vester said in a statement. The Dream View Bench will be pre-launched at the Muuto space in Copenhagen during the 3daysofdesign festival and will officially be released in September 2025.
