Wheels India FY25 Net Profit crosses Rs.100 cr
Chennai, May 20 (UNI) Wheel manufacturer Wheels India Ltd., has registered a 56% increase in its Net Profit for the year ended 31st March 2025 at Rs.105.9 crore compared to Rs. 67.9 crore registered in the same period the previous year. The company registered revenues of Rs.4,425 crore for the year ended as against Rs.4619 crore. The company has registered a Net Profit of Rs. 36 crore for the Q4 ended 31 st March 2025 as compared to Rs. 36.8 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Revenues for Q4 went up 2.4 % to Rs.1,195 crore as compared to Rs. 1,167 crore in the corresponding period last year. The Board of Directors of the company met in Chennai on Tuesday and recommended a final dividend of Rs.7.03 per share. Addressing a virtual press meet, Company MD Srivats Ram said, 'Our focus on cost control measures, a favourable product mix and lower commodity prices led to a strong profit growth in FY25 and we were able to cross Rs 100 crore of net profits last year." "We have also been able to achieve a turnaround in profitability in our passenger car steel wheel subsidiary', he said. On revenue growth, Srivats said, 'There was marginal growth in topline with growth in the domestic sales led by strong tractor wheel demand and growth in exports led by the windmill components. There is some momentum in demand going forward as well.' On the outlook for the year, he said, 'In FY25, there was a capex of Rs. 250 crore with the largest investment being in a plant for larger wheels for the tractor segment. In the coming year (FY26), the capex will be similar with the largest investment being in adding capacity for manufacture of windmill components.' On export growth, he said, 'The company is setting the groundwork for growth in international markets over the next 3 years. The lead time in winning and developing a wider range of products for this business is more than a year but the base is being built.' UNI GV 1825

Gold prices soar on global hike
KARACHI: Gold rebounded strongly on Monday as global market again crossed $3,300 per ounce, traders said. Soaring by mammoth gains of Rs7,800 and Rs6,687, gold prices reached Rs350,000 per tola and Rs300,068 per 10 grams, respectively? according to All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association. Domestic silver prices grew by Rs43 and Rs27, settling for Rs3,425 per tola and Rs2,936 per 10 grams, respectively, the association added. Gold price per tola gains Rs7,800 in Pakistan
Gold prices in Pakistan gained on Monday in line with their increase in the international market. In the local market, gold price per tola reached Rs350,000 after it shed Rs7,800. Similarly, 10-gram gold was sold at Rs300,068 after it registered an increase of Rs6,687, as per the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). On Saturday, gold price per tola reached Rs342,200 after it shed Rs2,300. Moreover, the international rate of gold also also increased on Monday. As per APGJSA, the rate was at $3,316 per ounce (with a premium of $20), an increase of $76 during the day. Meanwhile, silver price per tola reached Rs3,425 after it gained Rs43.

Dubai: Superyacht-inspired Marsa Al Arab now open; rates from Dh6,100 to Dh20,425
Dubai's highly-anticipated superyacht-inspired Marsa Al Arab is now open. The lifestyle destination completes the Jumeirah group's nautical trilogy, along with the wave-shaped Jumeirah Beach Hotel and the iconic sail-shaped Burj Al Arab. According to its operator, the resort will 'redefine ultra-luxury hospitality'. With 386 rooms and suites, 82 serviced residences, and an 82-berth superyacht marina, the hotel also features an immersive spa, a collection of restaurants, and indoor and outdoor pools. The hotel's room rates start from Dh6,100 for a 110sqm marina deluxe room and go up to Dh20,425 for a 359sqm ocean grand terrace suite over the next week. The rates will likely go up during the Eid Al Fitr break. The ultra-luxurious hotel also allows visitors to select a pearl, presidential and royal suite. For those with big families, there is the 1048sqm five-bedroom royal suite that sleeps 20 people. Equipped with a large wrap-around terrace and a private plunge pool, the suite comes complete with a separate entertaining area, a jacuzzi bathtub with Burj Al Arab views, a private gym, and a telescope for stargazing. The price for this suite has not been revealed. The marina The Marsa Al Arab Marina offers a yachting experience along Dubai's coastline. With 82 berths accommodating yachts up to 61 metres, the marina provides several facilities, including full maintenance and fuelling services. Featuring homegrown dining concepts, retail stores, and sophisticated suites, it invites locals and visitors to immerse themselves in the beauty of the sea. Design Designed by acclaimed architect Shaun Killa - whose firm also designed the Museum of the Future — the resort features a superyacht-inspired aesthetic that draws on the looks and features of some of the world's finest yachts. Other interior design features include marble-clad surfaces, organic wood, soft-edged seating, handcrafted silk carpets, hand-blown crystal lights, and textured fabrics. The rooms are inspired by Italy's legendary Riva boats, featuring 60s glamour and expansive terraces. Residences Jumeirah Residences Marsa Al Arab offers a collection of 82 one-, two-, and three-bedroom homes. Much like the hotel room, each residence features expansive terraces, well-crafted interiors, and access to all hotel amenities. Ranging from 79sqm to 229sqm, these spaces provide views of the marina, ocean, or the iconic Burj Al Arab. The lobby is adorned with a chandelier of over 1,500 hand-blown seashell-shaped crystals from the Czech Republic's renowned Crystal Valley. It is complemented by over 300 curated artworks and 29 sculptures throughout the resort. Dining The hotel features 11 dining experiences and four bars, the most exciting of which is the new-to-Dubai transformative concept The Fore. In the morning, the eatery offers a breakfast experience with views of the Burj Al Arab and the superyacht marina. Through the day, it transforms into four destination restaurants and a central bar. The resort also welcomes a Viennoiserie by internationally renowned pastry chef Pierre Hermé in the Lobby Lounge. Other restaurants include Umi Kei — a Japanese restaurant inspired by the art of kintsugi, where broken objects are repaired with gold; Madame Li - An Asian fusion venue, inspired by a well-travelled woman whose handwritten recipes tell a story of discovery and tradition; and The Bombay Club - an Indian eatery curated by Michelin-starred Chef Manav Tuli.
